Thanks amit for the kind words, your collection is also awesome what is the make and size of AC cobra and the Ferrari. They both look fantastic.

And since I have bought for first time from Ebay I am little apprehensive about the purchase reaching safely in my hands.

Congrats on the purchase. If your item is small (1 scale model car), it usually passes through customs without any problems & you won't have to pay anything. If incase they do decide to tax it, you will have to pay about 17% customs duty on your purchase + octroi charges if applicable in your city.

& purchases from eBay are very safe, I have been purchasing since years now.. + they also have the eBay buyer protection that entitles you to a full refund incase your item is lost or is different from what was advertised.

Thanks for the assurance buddy, bothe of the products are 1:12 so they are big, but then as per the reciept both will be sent separetly, so probably I will not be taxed.

And with that Motor Sport team set, my dream of owning a diorama has come true .

Re: The Scale Model Thread

And in the same way I was tempted by the 1:12 Caterham7. Very awesome detail with combination of different materials for actual effect.

I have told the Local Tamiya store to order the same in their next Consignment .

The store is not in Bangalore, but in GurgaonDelhi, the website of those guys I have provided couple of posts before. He accepts account transfer.

By the way which ferrari model you want to buy, the guy has 1:35 military models and 1:24 Car models and all are in kit form. Also he does not have the classic stuff.

He also does not have any in 1:12 scale and also does not have the Completly built models. 1:24 Morris Cooper kit is 795 bucks + Courier charges of 300 bucks.
