It's always special, to find a scale model of a car that has been part of one's daily life at some point in time, especially if that point is around a decade or two back, moreso, if the memories of that time are very sweet.
My eyes did not even take a second to get glued to what would be an immediate procurement. This was lying stacked amongst three stacked rows of 7 cars each, but the eyes knew which one it has seen many times of over, observed in detail as countless childhood sketch books.
Yes presenting the Peugeot 504!!
Though this is the sedan and we lived with the Estate, we still had adequate exposure to the sedan. Completely nostalgic.
This profile ruled Europe and Africa for years.
Makes it two in a row, of such additions to my stable, after the W124, but in the memories department, the 504 would simply be all over the Merc.
W123 though, would be another story!!
In that era Fenders were clean but very stylish. Simply love this..but my 1100D has a similar fender, though not so sleek.
Whats a French car without some Quirckiness somewhere!! These Gauls are after all Crazy!

Lovely. I have been wondering whether to get one myself for a long time too.
@1100D that is one nice find!! :thumbs up what make are the pug and the merc??
Paul Smith - Corgi/Hornby Toys 1"57 MINI COOPER 1959.
Lovely part about it is the finish quality and the inimitable Paul Smith Signature Striped pattern on the bodywork. Quintessentially Brit-Quirky.
Love it.
Expensive but worth it for Paul Smith!
@1100D Beautiful...Where did you get that, how much? Autoart?
@shankar.balan Nice how much? some years back i had seen a paul smith bag and wallet at some store.
ive actually picked up a few little scale models from Paul Smith over the last few years - includes a London Cab, London Bus, A larger Corgi Mini Cooper with the Brit Flag and of course this one. Thinking of one or two others - the Beatles limited edition Taxi and Mini Cooper Clubman and Bus etc.
Each costs between 1100-1800 bucks or equivalent so they are expensive.
