Cyrus, the GT3 RS wheels look good. Makes the SL look sportier. How's the ride quality :)?

What is the GT3 riding on now? Why did u say you had to take out the roof? Did it come with the metal hardtop in upright position when you got it?

The GT3 is riding on the Old SL wheels Temporarily. They will be swapped back again. The Car came with a MEtal roof which was not of the Folding type, like I have in my SLK55. It was a Fixed roof. So i Dismantled the car to see if there was a way to remove it, and there was. So I did. Simple. Although I havent fitted the Rear view mirror console on the windscreen Frame yet as there are these two mounting clips for the roof that do not look very nice as they are exposed.

Exoto released a special edition 1995 HUMMER H1 wagon for the 2000 US Presidential Elections in 2000... all the wonders of Exoto teamed with a commemorative paint-job. I do not really fancy the paint-job, so never interested me before, but I really needed a truly scaled down HUMMER H1 wagon for my collection and Maisto isn't true to scale. Looked around for a single color but unable, so waited... patience paid off... Exoto realised that 10 years later not many people really want the special release... so I got it at a discount :D... so thought of picking it up.

Yes, you get different version glue/snap/screw, painted/unpainted. They are fun to assemble and requires a lot of patience and time. Good project for a couple of weekends. Especially the ones from Tamiya, Revell, Italeri, ERTL are the best. Here's are some pics of the 1:24 Scale Honda Odessey assembly kit.

PS: Manish, please post more pics of your truck and the MM540 when you get time. Thanks.

WOW Great Kit, I believe you got that from abroad. I too have two 1:24 Revell Kits, but sadly I have lost the assembly manual for them. It's pretty hard to assemble without the manual.

Its from Fujimi Japan. Trying check the Revell site if they have the manuals online.

@RPMPKDMFF: That's a lovely H1 Wagon. Had come across the same 2 years ago however didn't buy it since I already had one in 1:27 scale. Agree the paint-job could have been different.

Apologies for creating the confusion. I was actually making an inventory of my collection in excel while writing the post. The Skoda Superb is indeed a 1:43 and the detailing is pretty good for the price. Now i have added a model from a Czech model-maker.

Also i just checked my 1:72 BMW Z8 which i thought was made by a German company, but turned out it is made by Hongwell - a Hong Kong based company. The detailing is pretty good for a chinese company. Have posted some images in an earlier post, but the scale being that small, photos don't do justice. Anyone else having a model by Hongwell?

The H1 looks cool.
Hope to see M&M AXE with the tricolour some day :) , Dhabhar Sir, I-day ke liye kuch gift hammare desh ke liye

Beautiful H1 there.

Some pix of my childhood companions,my father bought them in '83-'84 .Sadly I lost the track and all other cars from the set.Its from Darda.

I ve also just completed the inventory of the collection on an excel. simple photgraphic depiction of the model and other details of the vehicle, scale, manufacturer, colour etc - just so that I am able to keep track!
looks like about 175 models so far of different scales and types. good fun.

Got the E 350 CDI Avantgarde. It was a long wait for the new E. I really wanted one, the moment it was launched. Saw an E class elegance at the Auto Expo and it wasn't good enough- beige colour, too many spokes on the alloys and no DRL leds on the bumper(pics posted earlier pg 451). Cyrus' E was tempting. Went to shops in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai , but I couldn't find it anywhere. But luckily for me Hanmust went to the right place- Model Art.

Special Thanks to Hanmust who carried it all the way from Bangalore. It is a big moment for me getting the longawaited E at 12 in the night.
