OT: Have always been wondering, How good is using a liquid polish to clean the die-cast models?

Am planning to use the Liquid Polish, I use for my polish my Bike. Its manufactured by Pidilite.

How safe/good is it to use a liquid polish on scaled models?

Will it create any problems with the car paint or stuff like that?

Did you repaint the model or is it the original looks. Looks great, try uploading better pics because I want to see the paint job clearer

I use something called MIN cream. Its available at any hardware store. Pretty good for polishing the scale models. I get good shine.

@ Dippy,
I agree with you, MIN cream when polished gives very good shine.
@ traveloholic,
You can use MIN cream with a dry cloth for polishing scale models, they doesn't damages color.

The model has never been painted. It was bought for me sometime around 1996. Since then it is with me and with passage of time has lost some of its parts .
I will surely post better quality pics but right now i don't have any digicam with me.

I prefer to follow my passions/ hobbies because I dont want to live to later regret that I didn't do so - especially when I had the time, energy and the opportunity!

Ambassador Classic

Ambassador Classic

Added a couple of Mods to my Amby to make it look like a Army Vehicle & a Bureaucratic Vehicle.

Mods are still pending, waiting for small flags to adorn the bonnet of the Amby and a couple of small metal stars to adorn the number plate. Should be done soon. Till that time, enjoy the Modded Amby's.

Hope these don't land up in the thread "Pics of weird and wacky mod jobs!"
