Today, I bought one of dream scale models that are there on my wish list: :D
Italeri model kit of world's most expensive car - 1934 Rolls Royce Phantom II Torpedo Cabriolet "Star of India",formerly owned by Maharaja of Rajkot. Only one kit of this car has been left in the shop.
Will start assembling the model as soon as the exam finishes on 10th January 2010. Will need the help of all you guys in assembling & also to source the better quality paint for the model in Mumbai. Going to be a tough but interesting challenge, as each part has been extremely delicate.
Will post the pics by tomorrow. Here is the pic of the box :

hey wow that is very nice purchase indeed,How much you bought that for ? AFA paints are concerned dont think Tamiya or similar kits for paints and plasters are available around, still you can give a try at any Pidlite Hobby Ideas store if any around....

The actual price of kit is Rs.595/- but I got it for just Rs.500/-.
Just now, seeing the instruction manual provided with it. There are total 216 parts excluding body !!
The quick glue is provided with it. each part has been having minute setailing including the seal (i.e. logo) of Maharaja of Rajkot on backside of car.

Today's display:
VW Beetle 1.9 TDi, Silver Arrow, 1999, 1:43 scale from Vitesse.
Volkswagen Kombi 1971, 1:43 scale from IXO.

Honda S800, 1966, Bright Red, 1:43 scale from Vitesse. Ford Escort
"Panda" Police Car, 1:43 scale from Trofeu.

Toyota Land Cruiser Long, 1998, Metal Blue & Silver, 1:43 scale from
Vitesse. VW Polo, 2-door, Memoryred Metallic, 1:43 scale from Herpa
Miniaturmodelle.

Citroen Berlingo, 5 Places, 1998, Calendula Metallic, 1:43 scale from
Vitesse. Morris LD150, 1959, "Smarties", 1:43 scale from City.

Was at Sapphire Toys next to Lifestyle today evening (last minute christmass shopping :) ) and was shocked to see a whole new range of Welly Models.
They are the ones discussed earlier on this forum from Zapak Games.
The Range Rover and Mustang look real good. I was planning for the X5 but the Range Rover looks really amazing. Still to decide as might go in for one of those mini indoor helicopters due to lack of space to display any new models.

Welly has suddenly started to flood the Market. Its good for us!!

@Hrishikesh - lovely kit, looking forward to seeing you assemble it :thumbs up.
@Manish - The merc's looking superb man !
