Hey Sidd vi: I mostly use mannual mode on my 1000D, and such blurred background is achieved by altered focus point and lower aperture value or F number, so that only the focussed object is sharp and everyting else is blurred.

Hi MustangMan, I bought the Ford at a shop called Nikko in Singapore. Cost me S$19 (about Rs 630).
