The link works and I was able to go through your pictures. You could also post them directly onto TBHP if you want.

Another story .

I had posted a few pictures of races earlier . I recently met a few old friends .
They were 3 good and well settled friends who worked together in their joint automotive business and research venture . Porsche 911 speedster , Ferrari 348 ts and Pontiac firebird were the cars they used to drive respectively . Even though they had other cars as well .
A few pictures from the research and customisation shop -

One fine day they decided to go for a journey with one of their 'driver' driving a Ford Explorer. On reaching an exotic grassland they decided to leave their personal cars with the 'driver' and go for some drive in the grasslands and small forests in the Ford Explorer .

Also on their way they came across a few Animals .

However bad boys dont go back home soon . They Race and then go back . (the guy with the Pontiac firebird decided to drive a Murcielago instead)

Cheers . I relived my childhood days .

i just went to Prerana Motors to see if they had the Linea Scale Models.
THey had 3 with them locked in a display cabinet on the wall.
When I asked for them to buy the sales chap there had a non committal idiot answer - his attitude was very poor. Enquiring further it appeared that their cashier and manager were absconding with the keys.
Upshot is that I wanted the scale models but couldnt get them on account of the typical poor service that characterizes our Tata and Fiat outlets.
If they cant even sell a toy car, then I wonder how they will ever sell the real ones and in a manner that satisfies the consumers!!
Am extremely displeased and thought I would share this here in case any one wants to try his/ her luck!

@veldeep - that is indeed a superb looking model - i hope to get one similar some day
@dhrishikesh - thanks for the info - here they have only the Linea, not the Punto nor the 500. The chap there didnt even know the price. However the scale model per se looks good - what I could see of it through the glass. Let me try and pick it up during this week.
cheers

They also have a mouse in the shape of Fiat 500 . Looks cool but pricey.

I just went to Fiat and bought two little baby Linea scale models 1:43 scale. Prerana Motors in Sarjapur Road en route home from work this evening.

One is Dark Maroon (which was defective - left rear wheel not aligned properly and under chassis is loose) and one in that light gold colour.
I love the Linea's looks especially in the Maroon Colour.

On account of the defect I created a ruckus (in a humourous manner by teasing and taunting them a bit saying they cant even sell toy cars and how then can they expect to sell real ones etc !) - then the chaps there said they would charge me 2% extra for using my debit card so I created more of a ruckus (for real this time) - after all there is an MRP law in this country and no consumer is expected to pay the credit card commission charges. the idea being the card machines are kept for consumer convenience and the bank charges are to be paid by the retailer.

I am pleased to say I created enough of a ruckus to get the defective maroon linea at a discount from the dealer - token discount but worth it. the defective one cost 255/- and the ok one was at MRP 285/-

Frankly I like the Linea's looks very much and thats why I picked these up. They are certainly not of great quality - nowhere near Auto Art or Bburago or even Maisto - even the doors dont open and so on. If kept in their packaging and in one's display cabinet they just add to the overall collection.

Here are the pictures:

Mahindra Jeep

Mahindra Jeep Scaled Down Version. Love the design, the finish could be a bit more better. A true value for money though.

The SHELL pump at Kharadi (pune) has a scheme - if you buy petrol or diesel from the pump, you get 1/8 models of Ferrari cars (6 models) for Rs.100 each.

Great to add to your collection.

Porsche 911 by Maisto

Model: Posche 911
Maker: Maisto

P.S.: The lighting might be a bit hard but wanted to show a glow effect around the car, hence used various types of lights to attain this effect. Any thought on enhancing the lighting part would be more than welcome.
