1:43 is smaller than 1:24. here, see this link. please go through it. it has all the info.

if the scale goes down (1:18/12/6) it means the size of the car is bigger. as the scale goes up (1:43/32/60), the size of the car goes down. now offcourse, if the size is big you will get more details and if its not then you will get something like hotwheels or matchbox.

There is a place called Gift Centre here in town who stocks a good collection apart from your usual malls but Gift Centre keeps the Autoarts. Cyrus usually buys from there.

Here is a comparison of the most common scales of the same vehicle(some variations, but same base model)
1:18 HUMMER H1 Soft-top pickup - Exoto
1:27 HUMMER H1 Soft-top pickup - Maisto (due to Maisto's concept of scaling to box-fit, they manufacture most of their trucks in 1:27 scale, and the cars in 1:24)
1:43 HMMWV - M1097A2 Cargo/Troop Carrier - Victoria Military Models (I have not been able to acquire a 1:43 H1 version yet. But the HMMWV & H1 use the same base so this helps out)
1:64 HUMMER H1 Wagon - Norev
1:100-1:150 HUMMER H1 Wagon Monopoly Token - Johnny Lightning (this was part of the Monopoly Edition, the game token comes along with a monopoly branded 1:64 diecast. The token seems to be somewhere between 1:100 and 1:150 in scale)

@Dippy, thank you. Yes, all the models are mine:D. When I first started with the hobby, even I had to learn the basic size differences... so I thought I should make a small contribution to the learning process & help the others. I hope it helps out.

I got the monopoly token as part of the Johnny Lightning Monopoly edition. Not really certain about the scale, and it isn't exactly detailed, but all the lines are perfect. Will try to get some more shots of it.

Yes I usually buy from there but those two I am buying from Shoppers Stop Bandra As my card expires soon and there are some points on which I can avail a Discount.
