well, I don't really have a huge collection although I'd love to have a big collection. But I'm particularly proud of a few that I have. Especially my 1:43 Bentley Arnage R. My brother used to work for bentley and while returning, he picked this up from the factory. The detailing is pretty awesome. photos don't do justice.

Isn't it Minichamp model? I too have the same one with same colour!

Guys, Got my scale models out for a small photo shoot. The Merc S500, the Audi A8, the Mini Cooper, the Audi R8, the Nissan GTR are new additions to my 1:24 collection.

Hani, here is a small gift for you.

The Scale Model Thread-dsc04166.jpg

A BMW X6 to take our friendship to new heights. I believe it's the same 1:43 scale as the rest of your collection

Some thing to say you from my side.
1.Very neat and professional photographs.
2.Definitely good collection.
3.The Audi A6 is looking damn gorgeous.I will request you to post some Macro shots of it.
4.What is make of your Audi A8 1:24? it looks very good.
5.Lastly a question:Your camera is not a Cannon,isnt it?

Wow buddy! Great collection as well as superb photography. Really admire the effort taken & the way you took those photos! :thumbs up. Keep it up!

Viveck all your 1:18 are very perfect & detailed. Its the GTR in 1:24 I liked the most! Regarding the Jetta with black wheel, have you re-done the paint job? If so its superb! I wish you all the very best to enrich your fleet with some real gorgeous machines!

1,2. Thank you
3. Thanks again. I find it very difficult to capture the details on these tiny 1:87 models even with the macro mode. However I have tried it again as the first thing in the morning. Pics attached
4. My S500 and this A8 are both Maistos. However it must be noted that these are 1:26 scale. Maisto collections have bigger cars reduced in scale to fit in the same packaging as other 1:24s. Like the hummer H1 and h2 in 1:27 and H3 in 1:26.
5. I had a cannon before. Now I have a Sony H50. The reason for shifting(from a more professional brand) is because the Sony produces enhanced pictures (with exaggerated colours than real tones) that require less post processing. Weird as it sounds, my photography requirements often need a camera that can directly send the pics to print.

Thanks Hani. I too like the GTR very much. It's now the most photographed scale model in my collection. Will be posting some more pics soon.

The paint remains the same. All i have done is I have painted the wheels black and removed the chin splitter, err.....it actually fell off.

Very rarely do you get these scale models in Cochin. Previously I would look forward to buying a 1:18 whenever I visit Delhi, Mumbai and have time for shopping. Then I should have enough cash to spare and find a model taht I like too. That wasn't very often and my collection was anything but expanding.

When I switched over to 1:24, things were much easier. It costs only one third that of a 1:18 and takes up only half as much space. So I was buying like there was no tomorrow. Five models in three days. I am yet to recover from that vacuum it created in my account though.

abhishek_bmw , these pics are for you

Got the GTR and A8 on the treadmill for some tracking shots. Hope you like them.

The Nissan GTR 1:24. Could have added a back ground, but decided against it.

i saw my oversight a while ago but it was past the 15 minute edit post time limit.

Excellent stuff Vivek. I especially like your treadmill shots. Nice idea. Next time put some white or yellow tape to get that realistic road feel.

Those are some BRILLIANT shots. The Treadmill ones!! Probably some of the best ones I have seen here. Absolutely stunning. What else do you have in 1:18??

vivekji05: Nice macro.I love them.Thank you very much for posting them for me.

I made the guess your camera is not Canon from absence of Cannon's signature green-blue colour. But definitely that does neither show your effort nor skill less.

Very nice and unique idea of shooting on a running treadmill. You can try such shot with any Red Ferrari model (now or in future);because the logo on the rim will create a nice effect.

100/100 for your diecast photography from my side.
