Which make is the bolero??? are there any other Indian models available.?

Finally, I've managed to shake off lethargy and captured my model collection on camera. My collection comprises mostly 1:18 scale models.

I started off 5 yrs ago with a single minded objective of collecting Mercs. On the way, some more models of different marques joined the collection, thanks to gifts from relatives/friends unaware of the merc inclination:).

Anyway, starting off with the Mercs in the colletion first. I'm hopeless at close up photography, so pardon the quality of the pics:

1. The 1935 Mercedes 500K

This is a Maisto 1:18 model, bought from the ModelArt store at Inorbit mall, Mumbai. I'm fascinated by the detail on the "mother-in-law" seat and the Supercharger induction pipes.

2. The 1954 300 SL Gullwing

My most favourite car design till date. This is a Bburago, ordered from a magazine catalogue of Overdrive magazine. What a lovely car. And note the detail on even the spare wheel.

3. The 1958 220 SE

I'm hooked to the flowing elegant lines of this cabriolet, so much that I got a relative in US to gift the model to me. This one is part of the Signature Collection.

Last year during a home renovation process, all the models had to be shifted from their secure showcase. Sadly, this model's front driveshaft broke during the process. You might notice the front wheels are bent because of this.

4. The 1997 CLK GTR

A childhood idol. MB spent millions on developing this fire-breathing monster, a design that started off with the basic CLK chassis as base but incorporated space age components in fabrication. It won 17 out of 22 races that it was entered in.

This particular model was gifted to me by a relative who works in MB Abu Dhabi. I pestered him for details on the car much before it was actually launched. He sent me this model as a birthday gift. This is from Mercedes Benz authentic collection.

He also sent me a video of a real CLK GTR at full chat, filmed on some Sheikh's car that had come in for servicing. I was a nice guy then who liked to share his collection with friends, and one such unscrupulous friend nabbed the video and never returned it. Today that video would have formed a valuable collectible.

5. The 2007 SLR McLaren

This one was a gift from my wife. Its a Bburago. Lovely black car, with a lot of detail paid to the interiors and the engine.

Sadly, it was another victim of the renovation process. The big 3 pointed star logo on the bonnet broke off during shifting, and I never found it again.

To each his own Dippy. I'm currently on the lookout for a 1:18 model of the Mercedes 770K (Hitler's Grosserwagen) and the very rare 1955 300 SLR Uhlenhaut coupe. Wish me luck.

@ predatorwheelz

I found one source for your 300 slr uhlenhaut coupe clap:. hope this helps

Amazon.com: Maisto Premiere Edition 1:18 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Coupe-Uhlenhaut: Toys & Games

its worth $38 + tax and is made by maisto.

i think you can order this to be shipped to India.

Here comes my 1st scale model that i recieved on my birthday last week. A Lamborghini Reventon Opaque grey Matte finish.

have you checked hamleys in London?
Or those nice car showrooms around Park Lane?
while the scale models will be expensive, they are well worth it as they are original and the finish is impeccable.
