Why don't you post some pictures of the scale model alongside the original?

By the way, it looks great!

Thanks, Cyrus
Thanks, Vivekji05, shall certainly try as I have models of at least three of my six vehicles, the 170V,The Citroen Traction Avant & The Ford GPW Jeep.
I hope you liked the Chevy Belair posted earlier a few days back.

Here's a 1932 Chrysler Le Baron Touring.
This is a 1:32 National Motor Museum Mint model.

Thats a beautiful model Dussey . The detailing for that size is quite amazing. How much do models like these go for? I'm sure they are quite expensive.

Certainly the detailing for the size is good. The National Motor Museum Mint models are made well and are quite impressive in a showcase. They are mainly American cars & retail between USD 15 and 30 for this scale and are available only in the US. The good thing about this make is that they have all the versions of particular models like if it is FORD Model 'A', you will find Roadster, Doctor's coupe, 2 door & 4 door sedans, Sedan Delivery and pickup.

Nice stuff Dussey..so u collecting just the American classics?

No Agspins, I collect vintage and classic of any kind. I find they have a lot of character. In fact I am making out a project on " evolution of cars ", with scale models of cars right from the covered wagon.
I also specilise in World War 2 vehicles, only wheeled vehicles, not tracked ones (Tanks). In my own small way, I have a real '42 Ford GPW with a '43 Bantam T3 Trailer and also a War model Triumph 3HW, WW2 motorbike. (see 'my garage' for the GPW), Unfortunately, if one has a variety of military vehicles, it gets misconstrued, here in India ,with so much of security concerns ! In fact I had problems with the RTO for a military OD colour forcing me to colour my Jeep in a lighter shade of military green ! So much so for authenticity !
Please see my earlier posts in this thread, you will find a lot of classic cars.
In fact, I have been toying with the idea of starting a new thread for scale model/diecast & tin " Classic & Vintage ". What is required is a lot more encouragement and appreciation, for the of beauties of yesteryears !
One may find more appreciation for a 911 rather than a T Ford or Model 'A'.

Thanks for the appreciation. May your tribe increase ! :thumbs up :)

Well lot of places you can find scale models here in delhi...you can try at Modelart at Select City Walk Mall at Saket, shoppers Stop, Lifestyle etc or you can try at C.P at Ramchander and sons(oldest toy store in the country)...
Cost varies with make and scale for eg. 1:32 model from Maisto,Bburago or signature will cost you somewhere in range of Rs.450-600, where as 1:18 scale model from these makes will cost between 1250-2000 approx. If you go for models by Autoart (they are the best in finishing and detailing, costly also), they are in range of 2500-5000 approx..
happy collecting....

@agspins - Thank dude. My collection is just in its initial stage of growth. Will take some while though, but can we have some pics of your 1:18 challenger.
