They have a very nice Evo X too, 1:57 i guess. Saw it in a toys store in US, the store was closed. Maybe next time.

Any Idea When a 1:18 of the EVO is coming?

i have seen this, its pretty good.

Nice one Sinner. Tomicas are generally pretty good dinkys. I have quite a few of them. Where did you pick this up from? Are Tomys still available in Mumbai ?

@ Dippy : I pickedthis up from a small toy store in Kolkata. Not sure about the availability in Mumbai.

As far as i know, Tommys aint available in bombay anymore....

All the best. Amit.
Between, how are you going to source an intercooler? :)

Dear BHPians,

We begin a new series from this month, detailing our workshop display, City Auto Garage, at Autofest City. Here is the link:
V7-I11 Nov 2008.pdf - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage

It started off as a side-line with damaged scale models received at Autofest City. And for quite some time it stayed that way. We did our best to replicate a true automobile workshop scenario, creating diorama to scale, buildings with thermacole, pictures and advertisements from magazines and the like. Overseas, a few pieces of true-scale workshop equipment were available but then it was not possible for us to get them across to the City.

And then, along came our import licence, throwing open the doors! We added quite a few replicas of equipment and most recently, figurines. The workshop display at Autofest City was now serious business. It also developed a focus - we decided to make it a classic era workshop and added many automobile replicas from the era with a few pre-WWII models in for restoration. Subsequently the garage display was moved to a bigger location at Autofest City providing new opportunities to transform it into a full-fledged replica of a real automobile workshop.

Thanks to true-scale replicas of various workshop equipment and figurines of workshop attendants we imported recently, City Auto Garage has an authentic appearance.

En route to Autofest City in our forthcoming consignment is a four-post lift - a piece of equipment we anxiously hoped to add to our collection for a very long time - and more garage accessories.

So the next time you visit your own automobile workshop, just look around and we wouldn’t blame you if you feel you’ve walked into Autofest City’s ‘grown up’ Workshop!

Best regards,
Neil D'Costa

Some of the things these people have done to lay their hands on models are,at the least very interesting.Like Abhijeet Girsavle from Delhi who started young. He says,"As a kid I wanted Volkswagen bus really badly.I saved up loose change one rupee and 50-paise coins- until i amassed the then princely sum of Rs.60,walked up to the store and paid for it in coins...
Thats me guys :D.....
