I say, I imagine, because I have yet to reach the 60s. |
And the only drawback is, one can't paint the town red, though one may want to!
The term "painting the town red" alludes to engaging in a wild spree -- riotous behavior that results in bloodshed.
You try doing that. You'll go behind bars for a while. If you're in a foreign country, you'll be deported. If you're at home, you'll become persona non grata -- won't get many travel visas anymore. Have fun!

Ask nandu chitnis whose going scuba diving at like 65 or 66.
Age is a number.
Why so serious?
Well I am 20 years old and sure to clock some more years ;)
Good to see many bhpians in the 18-29 years age group. Though the older votes must have had fallen into the 30+ age category. :D
28 as of today. Will turn 29 in March!!
Hello fellow members!
Joined the forum when I was 18 and as of today I'm 18 years and 9 months of age. :)
Wonder whose the youngest active member(?)

Nearing 35.proud to be a member of t-bhp for the past 4 yrs.
Huh!
I am 39+ ! Will start a new life from June! Even I am curious to know the age wise distribution of t-bhpians! :)
Most of them I know are in the 29-50 something bracket.
Hey Guys,
Its lock down/Unlock phase and this lock down gave us an opportunity to work from home/no work from home. This lock down has also given us space to think and contemplate about the future or look back in the memory lane.
I was thinking how naive and ignorant I had been in my youth. I used to read books, a lot of books during my College time however after getting a job I have been away from them for almost 11 years now.
I was an idiot when I filled the Team BHP questionnaire in 2010 and got rejected, tried thrice to fail again and gave up. It was not until 2016 when I successfully got into the forum and started contributing.
Then I thought why I am thinking like this now, has it something to do with the age ? It may be because until now I have never thought deeply on any topic in my life. I have been into all kind of activities which I now think could've been avoided.
I have a opinion on almost everything now, that must have come with experience and age ?
Then I look at my fellow TBHP members who are more mature & wiser than me and I think what will be their age.
So a question comes to my mind what do you think about age group in this forum. Are we a group of youngsters or group of mid age people ?
Note: I am a 34 yr old guy :D. I understand age isn't a factor to evaluate wisdom however in my case it is.
MODS: Please delete if you feel this has already been discussed or irrelevant in this forum.
We are all young at heart. Isn't that more important.
Ah, such a juicy question for someone like me who is utilising this down time to refresh his statistics knowledge.
Average age of the entire member community?
Average age of active members?
Average age of power users (those who post frequently)?
Average age of readers (those who mostly read content)?
There may be a 'sampling bias' since you are considering people who post and not the entire community. (oh how I love using such terms now)
I think the main reason TBHP appears mature and wise is because of the strict standards and their enforcement. Having said that, I will shoot in the dark and guess that the average age is around 35 with a standard deviation of 3 years (yes! managed to use another term). I am tempted to make this more complicated but I will resist it.
I agree with Malyaj above. My guess is the average age of the member community is 33 to 35 with a standard deviation of 3 years. The average age of the reader community is probably 28. More than age it is interesting to spot writing styles, writing tones, knowledge shared, depth of perspective maturity in the posts {or lack of it:eek:}, rigidity or willingness to see the other side and so many other facets.
I cannot imagine what average of Male BHPians would be
But Female - Average not above 21 and would remain so for eternal
They do not age but Men are like Wine - Older they grow, the better.
