Just wish I could see him next year in Merc's garage with that signature smile.

Anyway little bit relieved after hearing this piece of news.

That is awesome news from long time. Wish he recovers to his normal self soon. But I feel it is going to be long recovery as he has been in coma for nearly 6 months. Get well soon Schumi.

On Friday, the popular German magazine, Bunte, which specialises in celebrity news, reported that Schumacher had been moved from the intensive care unit at the Grenoble hospital to a rehabilitation ward.

The magazine said the driver was "out of danger" but said his chances of making a full recovery appeared to have diminished. It also reported that preparations for Schumacher's transfer to a specialised rehabilitation clinic were under way at the Grenoble hospital.

Michael Schumacher out of coma

Glad to see him make it. I am sure everyone is happy to see him recover (even though it might be a while before he recovers completely).

http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/3...ger-in-a-coma/

Quote:
Michael Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, has announced that the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion is out of a coma, and has left Grenoble Hospital "to continue his long phase of rehabilitation".

Schumacher was taken to Grenoble's high dependency unit after suffering severe head injuries in a skiing accident while on a family holiday at the Meribel resort, situated in the French Alps, on December 29.

The German underwent two operations, and was left in a coma as doctors continued to assist his recovery.

After a lengthy period without an update, Schumacher's family and management issued a statement on Monday to confirm that Schumacher is no longer in a coma and has been moved from Grenoble's University Hospital.

There will be no further updates about his condition or recovery, and his location will not be made public.

"Michael has left the CHU Grenoble to continue his long phase of rehabilitation. He is not in a coma anymore," read Kehm's statement.

"His family would like to explicitly thank all his treating doctors, nurses and therapists in Grenoble as well as the first aiders at the place of the accident, who did an excellent job in those first months.

"The family also wishes to thank all the people who have sent Michael all the many good wishes to Michael. We are sure it helped him.

"For the future we ask for understanding that his further rehabilitation will take place away from the public eye."

Re: Michael Schumacher in critical condition after Skiing accident*UPDATE: Out of com

Best news I heard so far in this year. Wishing the "God of Racing" a God Speed Recovery.

Although he is out of coma, there is no clear communication about his current situation. Is he able to talk or make signs at least, respond to instructions, etc.

The path to rehabilitation is a long way and am puzzled what is being treated for him? Is it moment or everything?

Whatever it is, I can only hope that one day we all get to see him again at the racing track.

Re: Michael Schumacher in critical condition after Skiing accident*UPDATE: Out of com

Only last week was speaking to a colleague on what if Michael was still racing!

Chuffed to hear this news. I just hope we get to see him in the races as a guest at least in the coming months.

I remember reading somewhere that though he is clinically awake, he's unable to move or speak.
Hoping for a speedy recovery and we get to see him walk the pit lane in one of the races with his trademark smile and wave!

Re: Michael Schumacher in critical condition after Skiing accident*UPDATE: Out of com

Atleast once every 2 days, I used to Google for Schumacher to see if there were any updates.

But the most joyful notification I have ever received on my phone was this: "Michael Schumacher out of coma." It brought upon such satisfaction and happiness that I haven't felt for a long time.

I remember not being able to sleep properly the night he had the terrible accident fearing I may wake up to devastating news.

Music to my ears to hear Schumi is out of his coma. His rehab may take a while, but I cannot wait to see him again.

Forza Michael!

Finally some positive news. I just hope and pray this is the first of many such encouraging signs on his road to recovery. Come on Michael, stay strong and keep fighting.

I am so happy to hear this.
Although his racing days are over, it will be great to see him in the Mercedes garage hail and healthy.

Want to see #welcomebackmichael on the Mercedes F1's instead of #keepfightingmichael.
