Any retailer links for Panasonic and Robotouch please? In any Indian city will do. I was only aware of Osim retailing these products.

I used the massage chair below in a mall yesterday and it was FANTASTIC. Wanted to know what’s the closest equivalent option available in India with similar / same level of feature set.

Re: Seating Luxury & Massage Chairs

Looking to buy two individual motorized recliners with Rocking and Revolving mechanism. I had a look at Urban ladder options, Sleep Company Recliner and from a brand called Recliners India.

Urban Ladder does not have motorized version of a Rocking and Revolving recliner. I guess Urban Ladder recliners are imported from China and not made here so they seem to be pricey with the added import duties. Folks at home want the rocking and revolving mechanism with the convenience of motorized mechanism. The Sleep company offers all these at a very competetive price but only 1 year warranty and not sure how service will be in the long run since this is a fairly new setup. Recliners India claims to be in existence from 1996 and they have their factory in Uttarakhand. They have a very nice collection in different ranges with a lot of options and can customize the recliner as per our choice and they will deliver in a month. I have no affiliation with any of these brands.

Any pointers would help? I think even if recliners are manufactured here, the motor should be from China mostly. How easy is it to service recliners? Can motors be swapped easily in case of issues and manufacturer winds up operations?

I am using couple of single seat recliners from Recliners India for past 9 years and overall i am satisfied with them. They are really comfortable.

The first pair of manual Rocking and Revolving recliners was bought back in 2014 and lasted well. One of the recliner was abused a lot by kids/adults which resulted in issues with its mechanism and had to be repaired twice during a 9 year period. The other one was mostly used by my mother in a sane way and never needed any repair, so cannot really blame the manufacturer for broken mechanism of one recliner. Keep in mind that both the recliners were used daily for numerous hours and multiple open/close cycle.

A few months ago i shifted my home, so decided to junk the old recliners as they were due for a fabric replacement and bought another pair from Recliners India. One is manual and the other one is motorized, with both being Rocking and Revolving.

Regarding the motor: I believe it is an Indian made motor (i need to re-confirm), but with 12 months warranty. I was told that replacement is straightforward and not that expensive (i think in the range of 5-7K, if i remember correctly).

The only negative thing is the After sales support charges. They are prompt with service requests and easily reachable, but the per visit charge are Rs 1,000, which i believe is on the higher side. Positive side is that they are the manufacturer, so they don't ask you to replace a sub-assembly or an entire unit, rather they will replace a single item (a single metal road in my case), which will lower your repair cost.

Regarding the company: It is a fairly large company, have their own manufacturing unit (maybe 2 now). They are the primary suppliers to PVR, INOX etc and have 2 huge showrooms in Delhi. So i would not worry about winding up operations anytime soon.

Let me know if you need any further details.

Thanks a lot! Very reassuring to know that they have been manufacturing for many years and have prompt service. Sleep Company has a lot of videos by influencers and no idea if they are paid or genuine. Good to know that Recliners India mechanisms can last many years with normal usage. Will try out more options from them and finalize the model.

They have a lot of models actually. I see that you are from Bangalore and they have a showroom on the ORR service road before the Horamavu signal when coming from Tin Factory side towards Hebbal. You can drop in and check out options and customize as per your needs.

I will try and search for the Bill for exact model number, but it was the biggest model they had. As my son (around 25 Kgs) is fond of sitting in my lap or my fathers when we ae sitting on the recliner, i wanted to ensure that i get the one with maximum weight handling capacity. They told me that this was the biggest size they had and can handle 150 Kgs weight. Of course it was expensive than other models by a few thousand.

On the price, i negotiated on the total amount for 2 recliners (1 manual, 1 powered) and finalized on Rs 72,000 including delivery. If i remember correctly, the price difference between manual and powered was around 7k - 8k. The price will also depend on the fabric you choose. They have a lot of options/colours with different prices. I got a soft-touch fabric as i am not fond of leatherite.

Re: Seating Luxury & Massage Chairs

Hi All,

I am looking to purchase a leg, foot & calf massager for my father. I have found a few online but i am not sure which ones are better or what should i be looking for in a massager. Some of the options that i have seen are:

1. Lifelong: Link This is a LLM99 model, but amazon also has a LLM945 model, although i am not able to pinpoint the difference between the two models.

2. Lifelong LLM738: Link - This one is Air pressured massager with airbags. I am not sure if this is better than the above 2 models from Lifelong.

3. Agaro: Link This looks similar to Lifelong models and priced similarly as well. The features also seems similar. I am not sure which one is a better brand.

4. Robotouch: Link I think that this is a better known brand in massagers. This is about twice the cost of other options above. Is this really worth the amount?

Requesting members who have experience with these types of massagers to guide me on this purchase.

Thank You
