I opened the Times of India newspaper today and was shocked to see Sam Kapasi's obituary. God bless his soul. We will miss you out here on Team-BHP. My condolences to his family.

It is unbelievable and filled me with sadness, it is very painful, in a deep part of the heart. Though I never knew Sam personally but followed his posts / threads regularly. He symbolised the T-BHP spirit and was a key part of the community. Though, I am sure he will never like to see us sad and grieving, but you cannot control your emotions, the numbness will not go away soon.

RIP big man, you gave us a lot and you will continue to live in our memories forever!

I havent read this entire thread yet, but here's something Sam put in his Rover thread.

Scary but true. All I can say is RIP Sam and lets live life to the fullest. Now is everything. You never know the future.

To be honest, I'm not really an off-roader in the true sense of the word.

I see on this forum. People wake up Sunday morning and drive their vehicles through the roughest, unmotorable roads.
I see people flinging themselves into huge pits and mucky slush just to prove to themselves that they can drive in and out of this with their driving skills and the capability of their 4X4s.

Yes I do understand - it is a sport, a game I guess - but that sort of thing doesn't really excite me. It's not my thing.

I don't think I'll ever join an Team-BHP OTR, to be honest. I don't think I'll enjoy climbing up and down the same mountain in a 4X4. You know what, I don't even think I'd know HOW to do that.

I'd probably kill myself and destroy a good car.
