How did you come up with your username?

Hey, iam sathya from mumbai (But a mallu) who loves cars and back packing.... Came up with the name highwaypatrol because this word was there in the back of my mind for years even from my child hood. I wish i could live up to my avatar name.

Was too preoccupied with cars and bikes to come up with a fresh username befitting our passion behind joining T-BHP!

I was listening to Cranberries and the song was Zombie while I was on T-BHP, other user names were already taken and Zombie69 was available. Mind you 69 was not the year I was born, I will leave that to yours imagination

well...manishk83, somehow, some idle website, some aeons ago decided that the user id needed to be alpha-numeric and decided on manishk83 manish+(k)hamesra+1983 randomly.

But, that's boring. Not the reason why I'm posting.

It's the story of how I got stuck with manishk83 at t-bhp. Simply because, I didn't realize that the login user_id would be my display name too

.

Can I change it please?

My logic for choosing my nick: love driving, have driven in various geographies and vehicles. The 2000 is a carry over from an email nickname... so, Driver2000 it is!

Used to listen Hard Rock during my college days.
Somehow i like the name of this album.

I was drawn into choosing my handle when I saw "Der Alte" implying senior , elder etc. I wanted mine to sound appropriately junior. Hence - Der Junge.

I had just moved back to India for good and I wanted something 'desi' as my username.

I have grown up seeing our colorful trucks all of which say 'Horn OK Please'. Doesn't make any sense but thats part of the Indian highway landscape!

I didn't really know that team-bhp would become my car bible one day and I'd have to reason out my handle so just went ahead with what I was using on other websites. However, my handle was cut short by mods because it had the word alcohol in it. Originally it was supposed to be fine69alcohol (something totally random that I'd come up with a few years ago) but instead of the sedan (fine69alcohol) I had to ok myself with a hatchback (fine69)

PS: 69 is not my year of birth and I'm glad that mods didn't cut it short any further.

I came up with my name "libranof1987" during my school days when the world of internet and private email had just popped up..

We had this unsaid, undiscussed competition about whose ID was the coolest. I came up with this one, my birth year being 1987 and my sun-sign being Libra.

And yes, mine was the best!
