How do I receive Doordarshan, the 1980s way?

Few things crossed my mind going through this thread.

1) I was crazily in love with the old Doordarshan program Telematch. I don't know how many of you guys remember it. And Mile Sur Mera Tumhara still evokes goose bumps in me.
2) Since analog signals are soon to be phased out, I'm unsure if we can anymore use the old antenna. We might need the set top box.
3) We have recently got Airtel DTH at our home. It is very frustrating that Airtel gives DD Malayalam coupled with other three regional DD in a small screen. Once we expand the small screen, all we get is a zoomed picture of the small screen with poor picture quality. Isn't it a must that the DD channels are aired for free compulsory? Why is Airtel not showing DD Malayalam in full screen?
