They're the first Indian band to go truly international, even sold out most of their show on their first ever tour in 2019 (even maxed out their venue at Wacken Open Air 2019 with 15,000 attendees), it's a shame how low the appetite for metal/hard rock is in India despite the fact that 1.4 billion people (about 18.2%of the world's population) live here .
Not sure about the attendees but didn't kryptos play at wacken in 2017 or so? I tried listening to Bloodywood a couple of times on youtube but just could not get into it.

There is nothing in the world I wouldn't give for a Gojira or Opeth show in India.
I see we have similar tastes. Listening to Pray by Gojira as I type this. You've arrived at the reason yourself, not a lot of metal fans here. Bloodywood probably knew this and decided to go international first. Most their fans are in Europe and North America.

As for Opeth, I'm surprised to see only their album Damnation getting any significant recognition.

Enjoy your Gojira concert though, they are probably the best metal band to see live. Mario's drum solos are enchanting for me to watch as a drummer myself because of his sheer creativity with beats and fills. Even in the songs, top notch polyrhythmic grooves can be found in abundance.

Re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

I don't know why it took me so long to get into Slaughter to Prevail but I'm glad I did.

The entire Kostolom (translation - Bonebreaker) album is a treat for the ear drums.

Aleksandr "Alex Terrible" Shikolai the vocalist he has probably the best low end deathcore vocals I've ever heard and the fact that his native language is not english makes it more impressive.

Demolisher and Baba Yaga being my personal favorites. (The Baba Yaga video is a little graphic)

Re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

The bards are coming back this Sep.

New single out. This seems like going back to SFB (Somewhere Far Beyond). Hansi's voice is as fresh as ever.

Lot of good songs over the years from them. But none like the legacy of Nightfall which one can hear cover to cover.

This was a band I discovered by accident, and oh boy I'm glad I did. I get an adrenaline rush just listening to the mind blowing drumming in their songs, and the sheer amount of vocal talent in general. Easily out of the fastest double-bass drumming out there.

Looks like I've found a new metal rabbit hole to fall down, thank you. Great mixing as well.

Re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

ARCH ENEMY have released a new single, "In The Eye Of The Storm". The track is taken from the band's 11th studio album, "Deceivers", which will arrive on August 12 .

Skid Row has also released a new single titled "Tear It Down," the second off their upcoming album The Gang's All Here.

Disturbed are also back with a brand new single "Hey You," thats their first music release in four years.

Re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

Youtube decided to work it's magic and blessed with me with this absolute classic from the Black Ops 1 Zombies soundtrack.

Treyarch essentially assembled an entire inhouse Metalcore band to make the soundtrack for Black Ops 1 Zombies back in 2011, thank you YouTube algorithm. Now I'm gonna download and play the Black Ops 1 Story Mode and Zombies one more time.

Re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

Stumbled across this brilliant cover of the Game of Thrones theme song.

The drummer cooked up some pretty creative fills that gel surprisingly well, and the guitar tone was totally on point.

Finnish death metal at its best.

The hu, the mongolian metal band, have put out a new album, the rumble of thunder.
In this age of curated playlists, it's a rare cover to cover listen.

Re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

It’s kind of unfair to call TOOL a metal band. They are pretty much genre transcending and a rare band that has got better with every album. Every time I have come back to listen to them, I discover a new layer to their music. Brutal, yet beautiful. Here are three of my favourites.

The Pot: Probably the best entry song to get into TOOL

Lateralus: The fibonacci series incorporated in music

Schism: Welcome to the weirdness that's Adam Jones

Re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

The bass line in Schism is just tripping. It hooks you in and never lets you go. Even now typing about it, i can hear that in my head
