Heartbreak for Portugal...They played well but luck was not on their side like Holland and Argentina.

But i still beleive we r going to see final b/w two of the best teams in WC so far.

also cause for Rooney getting the Red. real patience from Rooney otherwise the Ronaldo would be down in one punch but then FIFA rules!!! he needs to grow up and play like a professional (Zidane style simply the best player this cup - awesome).

A sad end to the World Cup

We were lucky guys - We got to watch the World Cup ......

Oliver Kahn (Germany) , Roberto Carlos (Brazil) , Luis Figo & Pauleta (Portugal) have announced their retirement from international football and Zinadine Zidane (France) , Patrick Viera (France) , Totti (italy) are expected to retire after their matches are over.

7 players who have brought joy and hope not only to their respective teams and countries but also enthralled and entertained the people world over with their skills - are never going to play on the international stage again.

So people lets give these players a standing ovation for all the joy they have given us .

And we have seen have some exciting new talent coming up that will keep us glued in to this BEAUTIFUL GAME. Names like Aaron Lennon (England) , Lionel Messi (Argentina) , Christiano Ronaldo (Portugal) , L Podolski (Germany) , Frank Ribery (France) , Wayne Rooney (England) will surely be names to reckon with in the near future.

As for today's final , both the teams can win it but whoever wins it will admit , there is no greater winner than THE GAME OF FOOTBALL.

cheers

Aah !!! a good match, nice end to the WC, a deserving win to the Italians for the way they played today ... Not the right end to Zidane's career.
Awesome show of fireworks in the end....

It is found that this Fiat fan had voted on the first day of the World Cup (9 Jun) though the last day of voting was 2nd July.

So on penalties..er..tiebreaks, this guy wins!

They did it in style! Woohooo!!!

That first penalty was not a good decision, but Italy overcame that with a REAL goal to equalise. Then they were deprived their second of the night by what looked like a bad off-side call again!

No worries though, Zizu lost it, and so did France.
