Ikon 1.6 exi.....Anything better???

Still i would buy the ikon over the sonata - even if looks were the only criteria and it performs better than the sonata on road too.. hehe

This is the only time i am torn between the baleno and ikon.
It all comes down to what you like but if a 6 footer is to sit in the back, then lookno further then the ikon.

you know guys...call me crazy...as much as ive heard about the baleno being the stronger contender....i still have my heart set on the ikon.ill without doubt give the baleno a fair shot though......will keep you posted about the developments....

After reading these posts, your brain might eventually vote for Baleno. But your heart seems to be all set on an Ikon. So, don't wait, just go for it! When it comes to cars, let your heart rule. And, Ikon 1.6 is, no way, a bad car, when compared to other cars in its category.

Except the rear(brake lights etc), everything about it is good....

Rage, when you say maintenance, what exactly do you mean?

My impression about the Ikon's maintenance is that the service is good, but expensive, with a capital E!!! but then if your heart is saying Ikon, go for it dude. if your heart vs. head conflict is on, why dont you consider the petra 1.6 too???
A.S.S is not great and its not bad. parts are cheap, but not easily available.
looks? its not bad.
performance (very controversial word these days) pretty decent (thats a very non controversial judgement)

yeah the baleno will definitely be cheaper to maintain when compared to the ikon after all its maruti.so i think the baleno would be a better option good performance good mileage amazing ac descent looks BUT very skiny tires so the first thing u do after gettin the baleno is change tyres

If its the Ikon , dont go for the EXI , go for the NXT , the EXI looks plain , whereas the NXT has good alloys and the really Sporty bumper ( earlier on SXI )

baleno anytime dude.....just a tyre upgrade and it def will handle as good as an ikon if not better.whereas looks are concerned the ikon is as dated as the baleno.
the baleno even in the us(known as esteem) is a proper 3 box sedan whereas the ikon is a hatchback(fiesta) made into a sedan for india.......even in the A.S.S there is no comparison...maruti is def king.....

1.6 Ikon EXi .. prices dropped to 4.99L .. (this includes the finance discount on a 4L loan) .. scheme valid till end Sep ..

So OTR should be within 5.5 L (including insurance and regn)
