So you are now fully convinced?
if yes, then go for it (or you want to buy/register only in January 2010 to make it as a 2010 model?)?

I guess you need to think of it this way - two months for financial-crumbs-in-a-a-mirage, or two months of zestful life rightaway?
My guess is, if you are zeroing into the Fiesta 1.6, then you'd more likely go for it rightaway.

Even if you book in Jan 2010, there is a possibility of getting a Nov or Dec '09 car. You need to specifically tell the dealer that you want a 2010 manufactured car. Get the VIN and post it in the 'decoding the VIN' thread. That will tell you if it's a 2010 car or not.

Congratulations. The Ford Fiesta is a good car any day. And it is even better that you have chosen the 1.6 version, which definitely will deliver a better punch any day, echoing one of your initial sentiments

It should be Fiesta. I have driven both Aveo and the Fiesta. Aveo does not even come close to Fiesta in Performance, Handling, Ride or Gear shift

Fiesta is a great car with good handling but interiors are dull when compared to Aveo.
Aveo is good with beige interiors.
As far as A.S.S is concerned both are same.

Not to forget to take a spin in Fiesta-S.

And you have decided now - and going for Fiesta?
When are you going to book -within this month taking the huge discounts or in January to get a 2010 manufactured car?

Beg to differ with you over here.
I drove both (petrol version Fiesta). Found the Aveo better in terms of ride comfort, interiors, suspensions.
Fiesta had a a better pickup, but the seating comfort was not good it was cramped and low seating when compared to the Aveo.
Even on rough roads, the ride comfort in Aveo was much better than the Fiesta.

Regardless of Aveo's ( if only it is true) better qualities, its a car that is going to need a facelift and will come sadlled with really poor resale its not such a great idea.

Fiesta on the other hand is pretty well proven.
