Used Honda City May 2004

Hi All,

I am planning to buy a Old Honda City GXI CVT car. Its model is May 2004 and it had run 53000 Km so far.

Can you guyz please help me if this will be a good deal. Will it be ok if I buy it for around4.5 L?
And also I want to know if there any extra maintenance is needed for Automatic Gear Cars.

Thanks
Adarsh

2004 Honda City GXI is generally referred to as the NHC here. 4.5L is a bit on the higher side, try to get it for 4 or 4.2 max if it is in good condition. always take a trusted mechanic to inspect the car for mechanical faults & accidental damages.

Correct, but the version he is looking at is the CVT. It will command a little bit of a premium.

Adynitr - Would also be wise to have it checked by a reputed mechanic or someone you know. Do read the Used car guide in the Team-BHP advice section.

funny i have to say that. It was me not too long ago that finalised a 2002 OHC Vtec for 4.85L for a friend. How different these resale values are from model to model !

I own NHC (manual) August 2004 (has run 42.5 K). This time when I went for 40K service, the delaer valuated my car for around 5.2 lacks.

Around march I had found a 2006 HONDA City CVT for 5.4 lacs. This was with Auto Terrace. the official HOnda used cars dealer.

Out here in Pune, the CVTs are in high demand, especially the used ones. no need to say that the asking rates are also high and deals do happen at those rates. the rates for 04ish CVT hover around 5 - 5.5 L for Honda maintained car..
