Indigo LX or Indigo Marina LX

Hi,

My friend has decided to buy either Indigo LX or Marina LX. He is not able to make up his mind on this. I helped him a bit but i wanted to have experts opinion as well.

His concerns are -
1. FE
2. Re-sale value

He would like to go for marina as it has lots of space. He has nothing against the indigo except the boot space. So, guys please let me know ASAP as he has to book the car tomorrow.

The Indigo's bootspace is quite good. In fact, VERY good - I speak from personal experience of having had several suitcases transported from and to the airport in Indigos. It may not be the highest in overall volume, but I've found that every inch of available space is usable. Even the part where the struts intrude into the bootspace is well organized.

Resale for an Indigo would be questionable - how many people would buy a brand new estate, leave alone a 2nd hand one?

Does he really going to need all that space in Marina? As Steer said, if he doesn't need that, Indigo appears to be the better option.

Dont think Tata has announced a Marina LX yet.

Btw, if we are going to discuss points similar to those in http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/what-c...worth-buy.html, then we could just continue there.

OT: Service feed-back calls coming from Tata Motors - Pune - for services at dealerships here ?! Just got a call from Pune, instead of the usual call from the dealer.

Happens after EVERY service visit, whether for regular service or if you've just popped in to have something checked up. I receive calls on my roaming phone here in Dubai when my friend takes the car for service because my number is registered with the car.

Yes its a call from Tata Motors and not from the dealer. If you complain, the dealer is crucified.

CD, thanks - looks like mis-took LX for XL.

Steer, that was the first call I got from Pune. Was a bit surprised.

Thats the best thing I have ever heard of from any brand w.r.t. A/S/S.

I hope, one, they take the feedback really seriously and second, they do take the dealer to task if -ve feedback goes from customers.

OT: Being partners, can one expect this from Fiat as well?

While you are at it, y not ask for pigs to fly as well

No seriously, if Tata is taking feedback from fiat owners as well, this is great. But In my 8 months of owning a Palio, I have never had a call even from the dealer, let alone Tata and/or Fiat.

I know, I know. It was more of optimism at its best.
