Civic Vs Octavia Rs

Hey,

First of all I would like to say that I have gone through the whole forum and have not found what I was looking for. The RS review was in september 2004 and since then, no one has compared it to the civic.

1 I would like to know how it compares to the civic. I definately felt its a better car while driving, which I will be doing when I go in the car. But since it will be a second car, my mom will also require it, and she will be driven in it. Is the comfort level a huge difference btw the RS and civic in the rear seats?

2 Also, does any one have actualy figures of the FE in both the cars?

3 Does it make sense to buy the RS even though its been on the market for a long time? Don't want to buy the car and see skoda phase this octavia out.

4. What are your experiences with the skoda A.S.S? it is as bad as it is made out to be? Are spare parts a huge concern cause they are expensive. How it is compared to the Civic in this regard?
