Great.. Adit, I didnt know one ride in my car last weekend helped you makeup your mind so soon...LOL! we couldve done that long time back..heehee...

Anyways now that you have decided, wait till you find a good car...doesnt matter how abused the car is, the engine would seldom disappoint you ..thats how I see it. You might not find a real low mileage car as vtec owners have the reputation of using their car even to go to the next door to buy a packet of milk..LOL!!!

I have had a little problem with my rear end nudging ahead at high speeds but realised later through the service station guys that the springs are busted...now Ive got 'em changed and the car handles much better...havent done a 160kmph drive yet but till 140kmph its holding pretty well.

I wont forget to mention the rattling noises from the dash...get ready for that too...

Anyways, best of luck...have a great one.

@ Rudra: Sorry but what does bottom dips mean??

I can put up a poll but, i'm pretty damn sure the first reply would read...."Well, that would depend on whether you're talking about stock or modified cars". Hehe

I don't understand what you mean by already having a K&N. Unless it's a universal filter, you will need another one.

For tyres, by far the BEST tyres you can buy are the Yokohama AVS ES-100s, in 195/60 R14.

Congrats on your purchase.

We had a long discussions here & you are convinced on going with Vtech. Hence it is not a cake walk for either of the cars to take the crown. Its a neck to neck competition between both. You said Baleno has a poorer resale value with an example a 2001 Vtech will cost you in the range of 2005 baleno.

Since there are only marginal advantages, is it not wiser to for recent model car at same price with giving up those marginal advantages. Just laid down my thoughts

Avs is good but you also wanna have a look at the Silverstone FTZ sport , performance tyres...find them average looking but phenominal grip ...The shoulder pattern is similar to that of a Potenza GIII...you know where Im comin from now. BUt aint too sure if you gonna get the appropriate size. Will inquire and let you know...

You're going to need a SOHC Vtec cam, not just any cam. And as far as I know, they aren't too easy to find.

Brother, if you get a normal cam, why on earth would you want to buy a Vtec. That engine is worthless without the Vtec system. The whole magic of the engine is in the cam. The Vtec basically has a variable cam system, which changes the cam profile. Any other non-Vtec cam would just render it impotent.
