Three day trip to Bhopal (the city of Lakes) Need Help!!

Hi all. Me and two friends will be in Bhopal for three days starting on the 14th. We'l be travelling from Baroda on the 13th night and leaving back on the night of 16th. We've decided not to take a car on rent from Baroda due to the distance and the costs involved and have opted to travel there by train.

Three days is all we have and in those days we plan to do a Bhopal city tour (by ourselves) and the rest two will be dedicated to Sanchi and Bhimbetka.
My concerns are:

1) Is there any other place close to Bhopal which needs a visit and if there is, is it worth cancelling Sanchi or Bhimbatka?

2) I have also been searching all over the internet for any information in how the local bus service is in Bhopal. Travelling to Sanchi and Bhimbetka will probably be easier by a car but are there any other option?

3) Any other info for first time travelers to Bhopal?

Finally, I couldn't find any memorial for the Bhopal gas victims!! It's the biggest industrial disaster in the world and no memorial? Am I missing something?

Consider visiting Bhojpur Shiv Mandir. Read discussion about it in thread

Also try to include Shan-E-Bhopal restourant for an unique experience.
Details are in thread

Its better to hire a car for travelling to Sanchi, Bhimbetka. For city travel there are local bus service.
