There are quite a few mutts who would confirm the availability but going by what I saw yesterday and today, you should not have an issue regarding accommodation. Google up places such as Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt, Ahobila Mutt , Sri Vyasaraja Mutt , Tirumala and you can get some leads. Hope this helps.

Re: Tirumala / Tirupati Seegradarshanam query

Subsequent to the up ghat road getting damaged, vehicles are allowed to share the down ghat road from Tirumala till Mokala Parvatham steps. Those going uphill use the Link Road and join the down ghat road for the remainder of their uphill journey.

Vehicles will be allowed in only one direction (in batches) at a time in this segment. So, up to half an hour each of additional time needs to be factored for both up and down journeys.

Re: Tirumala / Tirupati Seegradarshanam query

I have booked APSRTC Bus tickets along with 300 Rs ticket for Darshan. Is it mandatory to travel by the APSRTC bus or I can do the trip in my car? Is there any way that TTD checks whether we travelled by the bus or not?

Hello Venki, last year me and my mom went through the KSTDC package, if I can remember the tickets were distributed only during the entrance to the 300 Rs special darshan que. It's a well coordinated act between KSTDC and TTD officials, it would be difficult for you to get in sync if you are travelling by car, unless you really want to, maybe you can get in touch with the APSRTC bus driver to understand options.

Re: Tirumala / Tirupati Seegradarshanam query

Anyone got an idea if there's a checkpost or checking of any kind at the Andhra Pradesh Karnataka border?

While I'll be doing an RT PCR test in Mumbai on Saturday(18th), it'd be difficult to keep it within 72 hours to enter back into Karnataka on Tuesday(21st).

Technically I should be allowed to enter from AP to KA since I'm vaccinated, but who can say anything about cops and their moods.

KA - AP border at Nangli:
When entering AP, there is a check-post where they check the vehicle including boot. So far no one has asked for RT-PCR reports.

When entering KA, I have not encountered any checks till date.

Re: Tirumala / Tirupati Seegradarshanam query

I am driving tomorrow to have 'Sarva Darshan'. I have one query. Could someone point me on google maps on where the entrance for this Sarva Darshan queue starts? And also the nearest car parking space so that I can park there and walk.
This is the first time I am going for a Sarva Darshan and hence this query. TIA.

The last time I went for Sarva Darshan was 10 months back. On that occasion the entry point was the same as for SED (Rs 300 darshan), except that we were sent to a different queue.

A search on Gmaps for"tirumala parking" will show several options. Whichever is chosen, there will be a bit of distance to walk either to VQC or when returning after darshan. Do make sure to note some landmark near where you park to locate when returning.

The process is a breeze now, compared to a few months back, if you are logging in on time, one can quickly book tickets within 2 mins and get out before the mess called virtual que starts, was lucky to get tickets for February.

Lot of parking options available. The queue entrance changes according to the number of pilgrims visiting / VIP visits. Last December we were supposed to go through VQC, but were redirected to join from Rs. 300 darshan.

Best way to park car in nearby parking place / near the accommodation and take free bus service else there are cabs (read Mahindra Jeep Commander).

+1. After Darshan we will have to take a longer route to reach the parking place.

Unfortunately I could not read your messages before I started my trip today. But that is fine. I parked my car at my regular parking place and then took a Jeep to drop us at the entrance of free darshan. I think it was more than a km drive from my regular car parking space. The Jeep person took Rs20 per person to drop us at the entrance.
Regarding the trip, this is my first trip after the new road is completed (almost completed i mean). I am a regular visitor to this temple (once in an year on average) and this was the first time i enjoyed the drive. I started from my home at 6am in the morning, reached Kanipakam at 8.15am. Hardly any crowd there and we got the darshan in 5mins. Then reached Tirumala at 10.45am, once again hardly any crowd there. It was just a walk through till we reached the main entrance gate. Finally reached home at 6pm.

Good to know that you had a nice, quick darshan.

On a general note:
When looking for information prior to a trip, I would suggest to give a few days of lead time. There will be enough time to find any follow-up information based on the answers also, if needed.

I agree, and I realized that after I posted my message.

Yes, visited about 5-6 years back. It is in a village, near to Renigunta. Not many people seem to visit the place. It is a very old temple.

I was simply searching this forum and found some old travelogues regarding Gudimallam.
