Other than PNR everything else is there on page 1. PNR is not there anywhere but Booking Ref is there on Page 1.

Yeah I use PNR & booking reference interchangeably. It is a 6-character code.

All domestic departures have been halted due to a FAA system outage.

Quote:
The FAA said in a statement it had ordered airlines to pause all domestic departures until 9 a.m. Eastern Time while it tried to restore its NOTAMS -- or Notice to Air Missions -- system.

Where should we post about asking for specific kind of Luggage for frequent travel?

Where should we post about asking for specific kind of Luggage/ Baggage for frequent travel?

PS: I've done the intro before. Ive already done on FT forum, but wanted more inputs from Indian populace than US ones so figured Team BHP is the place.

Thoughts?

I searched and found threads on this in various sections/ sub forums so before I get flagged again I figured ask before I get slammed.

You can start here and if the thread deserves a separate one, we can make it that later. User Report to get in touch with mod team.

Re: Emigrating to a Foreign Land!

Folks.. Have a query on Transit visa.

If travelling from Bangalore to Toronto via Frankfurt in Air Canada, is transit visa required? Holding Canada Work Permit and not PR.

Thanks in advance

When you mean Canadian Work permit, I presume you have a valid visa to enter and live in Canada. In that case you will fall into the exceptional category and therefore no need of transit visa.

See : https://www.germany.info/blob/917514...-list-data.pdf

Note : Also check with your airlines. I guess Air Canada is codesharing with Lufthansa.

Re: The Air Travel & Airports Discussion Thread

I just booked a ticket for my mom on a domestic Indigo flight. While choosing seats, the chart showed not a single free seat left - so I clicked skip & went ahead with booking the ticket. What happens now? Will she be allotted a seat at checkin or will she have to pay during checkin time?

She will be allotted the FREE seat during the check-in. No need to pay anything extra.

I generally don't pre-book seats on flights, just reach a bit early and choose the seats I would like during check-in.

And at times, when lucky, I would get the seat with better legroom.

Just complete the web-check in 48 hours in prior and that's it. Looks like you have already done it. The airline will mail the boarding pass a few hours earlier which will have the seat number. You need not pay for this. If you choose to pick a seat, then you will have to pay.

Regards.

[Mumbai airport transit]

I arrive into Mumbai at midnight and have a domestic connection at 9am. Are there any suggestions for hotels or lounges nearby to spend 5/6hrs?

I haven’t personally used it, but I have heard some good reviews about it. Check out the link.

Not Mandatory. You can do the process at the check-in counter.

Also, my mom will have wheelchair assistance so they usually help her with the checkin.
