Best Hotel for Family in Mahabaleshwar

My family wants to go for a small retreat to Mahabaleshwar for a few days. since its a family thing, I don't think budget is as big a concern as good luxurious rooms, good food and a breathtaking view. Can you'll suggest something on those lines?? We have been to Ramsukh resorts 4 years ago and had a great time. Rooms were awesome and food was fine. I don't know if the same standard has been maintained now.. Hence taking views. Any pointers?? 3 nights??

Hey thanks! But proximity to the market is not priority. A good view is far more important. They will be taking a car, so its fine.

Try Sherwood Resorts! I spent time there. Good food, hospitality, swimming pool, ok-ish view point, lawns, pool table.

Why dont you try Hotel Dina, its just after Venna lake on the main road. We have always stayed there when we have our conferences. Its an old type hotel run by a Parsi family, but a wonderful experience to stay. If you stay in one of those rooms in the main building you could play football inside the rooms they are so big. Not to forget the lovely food you possibly get here.

I have heard good things about Dreamland (near the market). Also, Brightland Hotel is on way to some point (I guess Kate's Point?). It looked plush from outside atleast!

Check this out Brightland Holiday Village, Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra

I also saw the rooms at Kailash Parbat (just at the entry point of the market, next to the awesomely delicious Nukkad restaraunt). They have reasonably prices and well attired rooms (INR 1300 for Economy, Rs 1700 for premium and Rs 2100 for a suite).

Some other links for you Pride Sherwood Resort, Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra

My suggestions as follows, based on personal experience

1. Ramsukh - Awesome views, you also have first hand experience. You can enjoy rains and excellent views from your room, especially the ones facing Krishna River Valley
2. Brightland Resort - Awesome views, good food
3. Sherwood - Awesome Food, good views, wonderful swimming pool

takecare and drive safely

Good luck to you.
Ohh and I forgot. Sherwood also has a Discotheque. It is open on Saturday nights or on demand.
I have uploaded some photographs which I have from my last trip.
Hope they help you in making a decision.

thanks guys.
parents stayed in Ramsukh, Mahabaleshwar.
Enjoyed the weather, but hotel has lost its charm. rooms were good, but food was BAD!
Bad to the point that my family had to eat outside inspite of the fact that meals were included in the package!
