Abbas.
When I applied for visa in Bangalore, agent asked me if my passport was issued in Karnataka. Mine was issued in Bangalore so I did not probe further. So, I'm guessing there might be some guideline. It's better to contact authorized agent directly and check.

Here is Akbar travels Bangalore contact, just in case : 08248227324

You can apply in Bangalore. Just that you need to add a local address proof also along with that. In my case, my passport has KL address, while wifes passport had TN address. We added home electricity bill which has our names as local address proof and then in the covering letter mentioned the same.

Re: Singapore Tourist Visa - Queries

The visa form has a section for filling hotel details. I haven't decided yet. So:
1. Can it be left blank?
2. Can a free cancellation booking be made now, with possibility of actually staying in a different hotel?

Singapore accepts visa applications only 30 days/1 month prior to travel so you have to have a hotel booking. You will need to have a hotel booking, return flight tickets and 6 months bank statements.

Different hotels have different cancellation policies, you need to check on a hotel to hotel basis. Hotels that have a cancellation policy upto 24/48 hours before checkin will have higher rates, non refundable rates will be much lower. You need to decide which one suits you.

Cheers

Applied for Singapore Visa for my Family from them. They had very clear instructions on doucuments and infact give you a sample filled up document.

Applied on 28th Oct and got the Visa confirmation the very next day.

They charged me 2,567 per visa which is the official rate mentioned on Singapore embassy website. No extra charges whatsoever.

Abbas.
Any agent can apply but if your passport address is different then the address proof like adhaar with present address is required

Singapore Consulate has a list of approved travel agents, only they can forward applications for visas. Not all travel agents can do this.

Cheers

Hi Guys,
What is the review of Atlys for the Singapore visa? they are willing to process it only on salary slip and bank information.

Edit: They asked for additional documents via app :-(

If you are referring to applying for the Singapore eVisa, I strongly suggest to go with ONLY one of the approved travel agents as listed on the Singapore Embassy website. Not only will they be cheaper, but they specifically specialise with the Singapore eVisa on a day to day basis.

If Atlys is not an approved travel agent then they anyway will have to go through one of the approved ones, and will charge you for their services on top.

I have heard terrible things about Atlys, they just have a template that they follow for all applicants rather than really looking at individual applications and adjusting as needed. I vaguely remember some social media scandal where they said you could watch a live stream of the locker room where they store your passport while the application is going through, but that turned out to be just a generic video on loop: https://x.com/pranavsinghania/status...75893875740981

The Singapore eVisa is probably one of the easiest to get anyway, but nonetheless have zero trust in them. Recommend to go directly with the approved travel agent only.

My experience with Atlys has been positive. They took two days to do their own docmentation. After they submitted it took about three days, so within a week I got our visas. Proof of financial health seems to be standard requirment across all visa applications.

Thank you for the feedback guys. We are a large group travelling in late January, so there is time. Two of us applied through Atlys and others are applying using other local validated agencies. I hope my experience with them is not bad.
Will update once I get my visa.

Re: Singapore Tourist Visa - Queries

I applied for Singapore visa for myself, wife, kid and parents on 31st Jan afternoon and all of us got the visa now. Our travel date is 27th Jan 2025 and we all applied together with a single covering letter with me as sponsor. We used services of Rita Tours and Travels and were charged 2525Rs per person + 2.5% extra for paying through credit card.

Documents Submitted
1. Copies of first and last page of all our passports.
2. Two passport size photos in matte finished paper (teeth should not be visible! My 2 year old kid was all smiling in the photo and the agent told us to get a different photo. Managed to print a photo from my phone)
3. Covering letter
4. Filled application forms
5. Self attested 3 months bank account statement of mine (salary account)
6. 3 months payslip of mine and wife's. Wife's was not in the original required documents but the agent insisted I provide and I did.

Approval Timeline:

My parents got the visa in 1 hour flat! As soon as I went home and checked my mail, I could see an email from Riya travels mentioning our application numbers. I could see two applications - one for my parents and one for myself, wife and kid. I guess they submit applications per family. When I checked my parents application status, I was pleasantly shocked to see that it is already approved and I immediately downloaded the copies! Maybe the year end lean period helped. They have got the visa approved for 2 years and multiple entries. Then I checked mine and it was pending. I waited till today and just now I saw it is approved for 2 months and single entry only.

So looks like the number of entries and duration of approval is random. Overall, I am satisfied with the service of Riya travels.
