Classic Sarovar Portico is a good place as well. I have stayed here once.

Re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Hello Everyone,
I would be traveling to New Delhi to drop my parents at the airport for an international travel. The duration of stay at New Delhi is just few hours.

Are there any clean and hygienic accommodations or hotels can be used at partial cost for this short stay.

TIA

Jacob

In Udaipur, RTDC Hotel KAJRI is a decent place with good parking space. It was under renovation last year, so it must be good now.

Was going to recommend another RTDC in Jaipur as well. We had stayed in Bani Park last December. Double room was 3k/day

The Fern Hotel chain is also quite good. You may want to check it out.

A lot depends on the time of the year. In August, weekdays you can get Ibis or Shahpura house in Jaipur. If you stretch a bit lemontree premier as well.

Any recommendations for Mount Abu for the month of November? I tried Sterling and the rates are a bit over the top. Any other options for a family?

Re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Hello all,
Any recommendations for a comfortable and safe place to stay with family in Madurai? Preferably with good parking space and not too far off from the NH.

Just need to spend a night there enroute Kollam from Bangalore.

Thanks in advance.

Hotel Germanus at Kaalavasal would be ideal. I think you'll have to exit at Nagamalai Pudkottai on Madurai-Theni NH and get to the hotel, which is what Google Maps is suggesting from Dindigul

Meenakshi Sunshine, a part of Meenakshi Mission Hospital, accommodation is very neat. Need to travel through city though.

With two kids, your resort cost will shoot up by 40% to 50%. With ever increasing inflation, taxes, fuel costs, tolls etc. vacationing is becoming a costly affair. We are used to yearly Goa trips. Most of the resorts which used to be in 5k-7k range a few years back are charging 11 - 13k now. And when you go to Goa, unless the hotel room has a suite like arrangement, it is not fun to have 4 people cramped in a single hotel room. That is why I have decided to stay at Airbnb near Candolim this time in October. Costed less than 15k for 3 nights. with pool, parking, 3 min walk to beach and all other amnities in 1bhk suite. From the savings of not opting a resort, I will lavishly spend on food, icecream and shopping. Do filter for guest-favourites in Airbnb and try your luck.

South Goa has some real good listings aswell. PM me for links if needed. can help.

Good luck and happy vacation in advance.
