Good to know your Malaysia plan is finalized, when are you going? Do a search on Bukit Bintang in google, i am sure you will get loads of hotel options. It is one of the main enterainment district and busiest areas in KL.

I stayed in that area a couple of times but cannot recall the hotel name as it was 3-4 years ago.

You can also check staying options in Jalan Sultan Ismail and if economic options then near China Town.

If you are looking at a lot of partying then nothing can beat Bangsar

P.S: If you can take a risk, you can book a hotel at dead cheap rates at KLIA itself before going into the city. I assure you it will be atleast 25%-30% cheaper than internet tarrifs

Good luck for your trip !!!

Thanks Mobike for your input.
We are going in feb 2010. We are 15+ pax and remember, this is going to be
" Monsoon Masti in Malaysia".[ i am doubtful about the word " monsoon"].

I had googled and found some descent hotels at Jalan Bukit Bintang.
I read reviews on the hotels and finalized one hotel.
I am not inclined toward door booking of hotels otherwise my horses will run toward me.
we got deal of mr190 for triple room.
Biggest plus of this trip will be the cost per head. we will be in kl for five nights.
our per head cost will be set at rs 18000 excluding food and including visa, bus, train, air, taxi travel, accommodation, sightseeing etc and we are going to achieve that cost.

WOW! I will be eagerly waiting for the travelogue with a cost summary. Maybe that will lead to a trip of my own!

team-bhpians in Ooty,

Looks like Hotel Villa Park (formerly Hotel Dasaprakash) has closed down. Calls to their number is going to one 'Aishwarya resort.' Can anybody pls confirm if they have indeed closed down? If not, can you please pass on their number?

Kolkata airport

We found (actually Downsouth found it, I merely did the booking) a hotel near Kolkata Airport which seems fairly decent and which promises car parking.

Place is O2 and is located on VIP road about 1 km from the airport. The website is loharukahotels. Rooms are priced at Rs. 2650/-.

Cheers,

Hotel acco in Mount Abu?

Lads,

I am searching for a hotel in Mount Abu with the following attributes :

1. Extremely clean & hygienic, especially toilets
2. Lifts or if there are no lifts, rooms ( doubles) available on the ground floor
3. Less stairs at the entrance
4. Car parking

The reason for the requirement of a lift or no staircases is because one of the guests has difficulty climbing stairs. Hygiene is something that most hotels do not believe in - stayed in a five class property in Alibaug once where I found strands of hair on the pillow and on the rug (Ugh!).

Any advise/inputs will be appreciated.

Regards

Shillong

I just read the thread and realised I had not posted the details of the place in Shillong.

Hotel Alpine Continental, alpinecontinental.com. Doubles at approx Rs. 1800/-. Place seems to be new and run by the same guys who run Lake View Inn.

Cheers,

I have planned for a trip to Ganpatipule in Dec'09. Normally i stay at MTDC but this time around MTDC is packed . Tried to find out good hotels on net but not very succesfull. In case any of the fellow BHPians have stayed at a place other than MTDC, request your help in deciding on the Resort/Hotel.

Hi !

I've stayed at this riverside place in 2006 and really liked it. If I recall correctly there is an ISKCON temple nearby. I particularly liked sitting on a bench by the river and musing
