I am planning to travel to Kemmangundi and other places surrounding chikmagalur on next weekend.

Need some info on which route to take and info on some good accomodation as well. I tried browsing through a couple of links but i am not able to decide..

Thanks,
Pramod
I would reccomend that you stay at Chikmagalur and do the drive to Kemmangundi and back as a day trip.Easier that way.Route is the standard:Bangalore-Nelamangala-Bellur Cross-Hassan-Belur-Chikmagalur.Its a relaxed 4.5-5hr drive.Plenty of options to eat enroute.Chikmagalur has places suiting all kinds of budget right from the Serai and the Taj Gateway to the budget priced places. If you want to stay away from the touristy areas, then you can consider staying at Mudigere as well.

Re: Need info on route and a good accomodation - Kemmangundi.

Check out Thippanahalli homestay.

http://www.thippanahallihomestay.com/

Stayed there last year. Highly recommended.

I also suggest you to take the

Bangalore - Tumkur - Tiptur - Arasikkere _Chikmagalur route as it is more scenic and pleasurable to drive.

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Has anybody been to KTDC Lake Palace, Thekkady? The location is absolutely fabulous but a bit pricey. Is it actually worth the money?
Planning a trip with parents this month.

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Guys,

Need a little help.

Will be travelling to Pune with friends this saturday. Need a place to park the car and stay one night. Will most probably be checking in at around 9 on saturday, and checking out at around 10 on Sunday. Any budget hotel close to this place -

Corinthians Boutique Hotel & Spa Mohamadwadi, Off NIBM Pune, Maharashtra 411060

Mostly, I need safe parking and clean rooms, preferably Air conditioned. We are 4 guys.

Any suggestions ?‎

Regards,
SuperBee

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Any recommendations for restaurants for lunch on the chitradurga bypass on the NH4? Dont want to venture into the city. But if the restaurant is really good then i don't mind going into the city. But restaurants on the highway preferred. Looking for clean hygienic food options and clean restrooms.

Also looking for lunch options near davangere on the way back. same criteria as above. Suggestions appreciated TIA

Accommodation along Nagercoil - Bangalore route halfway through

Guys, need some help with some accommodation options. I will be driving from Nagercoil to Bangalore next week (mostly Monday morning) and want a good, clean place to stay along the way - somewhere half-way through the journey. I was thinking on the Dindigul by-pass if possible? Or even further ahead is fine - though I don't know any big towns after that.

Can you please provide some suggestions - it shouldn't be inside a town. I do not plan to travel in from the NH. Something very near the NH is preferable. I will be travelling with my parents so the place has to be clean and neat too.

Many thanks! Its quite urgent and would appreciate your inputs.

I see that Karur is another option. Any good places to stay at near the NH near Karur?

Rockfort Palace at Dindigul & Parsons Court at Dindigul are both good, with the latter being better than the former.

Any reasons for Chitra Durga? The whole of NH4 has lots of Kamats.

While going from Bangalore to Your left :
- Dobbaspet, Davanagere, Ranebennur

While coming towards Bangalore to your left :
Hubli, Sira, Dobbaspet

Hi
Thanks your link.
They also have mount view executive. Surprising they have a rs 650 charge for ac. On top of that taxes and everything adds up.
Seems to be a better building so may opt for it specially I get a discount as I will be checking out before the long weekend starts
Will call both of them and decide.
Or if you can think of a better option please advise
Thanks once again and regards
