Check Hotel Anand Regency. It's a business hotel with clean rooms. However my recommendation is based upon on the experience about a year back.

Require inputs on a good hotel in Mahableshwar / Panchgani. Would be travelling on 7th Dec.

Preference will be place with good views & cleanliness around and calm surroundings. Planning to celebrate my marriage anniversary in Mahabaleshwar/panchgani.

Mom's doing a day trip from Bangalore to Thrissur over the 9th of Dec. I need to get her a place to stay near the bus stand preferably (taking a night KSRTC bus from Bangalore on Saturday night and vice-versa on Sunday night). She needs to get to West Nada, Kodungallur for a short event during the day.

Can someone suggest a good place for a day's rental (not night) and safe for women?

Not sure if you would get just a day rental-no harm in trying.Very limited "good" places to stay in Thrissur so be careful when you decide on a place.Most of the hotels are "bar" attached which makes it a tad uncomfortable for a single lady.The places I would reccomend for a single lady are the following:

1.Pooram International-Latest addition to Thrissur-clean and excellent and a km from the KSRTC Depot.Should be around 1200-1500. www.hotelpooram.com

2.Wariyam Heritage is another good place.Its a homestay and would be suited for your mom.http://wariyamheritage.com/ This one is on Press Club Road.

However I would reccomend Pooram over Wariyam as the former is a hotel.

How is she going to travel to Kodungallur?By bus?then she needs to take a rick to the Shakthan Bus Stand -a km or two from Pooram.Frequency of buses is almost every 2-5 minutes from the bus-stand.

I'll book the room for a night stay, but just not use it for the night. I'll stick with Pooram since its quite close to the bus stand. Is there a landmark to Pooram which my mom can instruct the auto driver to take her to? I guess, just mentioning Pooram might not make the cut.

Any hotel recommendations in UK (Auli, Joshimath, Chopta, Kaudiliya, Syal Sur, Rishikesh)?

Auto guys all know it.She can ask for Kuruppam Road and while coming from KSRTC,she would see it on her right.Shouldnt be more than minimum fare.Hotel is just off the central Swaraj Round which is the main shopping area of the town.

Any feedback on Lalitha Mahal Palace hotel in Mysore? Anyone recently stayed there?

Vishakhapatnam has a new property, Ambica Sea Green - Link.
They have an amazing view of the Bay of Bengal. Some rooms are fitted with an Aquarium in the floor. It was crazy, to open the door and step on a fish tank. Nice touch.
Rates start around 3500/- Excellent staff and yes the food was good.
