I think GRT would be higher than 3K. Need to confirm though. (They even show 2.5K when book earlier online).
There is another place close to it. Cenney's Gateway which you can also check. (It is right next to 5 roads signal)

Platinum at Himayathnagar is good.Next door from Basheerbagh http://www.theplatinumhotel.in/accommodation.html

Mercure at Abids is good and would be in your range.Restaurant serves only vegetarian though. http://www.mercure.com/gb/hotel-7831...ndex.shtml.Taj Mahal Hotel Abids is also in the range of 1500.

If you are ok with staying in Secunderabad area, then you could check out the following, less congested and shopping areas are closer

Strongly reccomended:Mango Suites,MG Road http://www.mangosuites.com/

Taj Tristar www.hoteltajtristar.com

Baseraa Secunderabad www.baseraa.com

Check out Makemytrip for these hotels as they always offer lesser tariffs as compared to direct bookings.

Feel free to pm me in case you need any assist.

Thank you Ranjit for the quick response. Just spoke to "The Platinum" and their corporate tariff fits well within budgets.

Initially I booked at One Continent Atria but The Platinum looks closer to Basheerbagh. Thank you once again!

One Continent is in Abids so technically slightly further away, plus there is a change in management at One Continent, its now Tulip One Continent and is in need of urgent maintenance and has a very noisy Big Bazaar below it.Platinum is ok,dont get worried seeing the entry and the surroundings, the hotel is kind of ok for the budget.

"Seaside guest house". It's great, but ashram owned. No liquor and gates close at 11
To book got to email them and transfer an advance. Google the name.
It is 2/3 buildings from the secretariat and very well located on the beach front.

Re: Need Help for my trip to Mahabaleshwar from Hyderabad

Hi!

Planning for a trip from Hyderabad to Panchgani/Mahabaleshwar with office team. We're booking a 9 seater vehicle and planing to start on Nov 2nd evening and the team is set to return on Sunday evening (4th Nov) from there.

I have a LTA planned from Nov 5th to 9th. So effectively I have time from 3rd to 11th Nov.
I am thinking of taking my car along so that I can stay back and enjoy my rest of the holidays.
I want to ensure I enjoy this long holidays as much as possible. Luckily, my wife also managed to get the leaves. I am taking my wife along so that we can continue with our holidays once my team leaves.
Currently, I have planned to stay back in Mahabaleshwar till 6th Nov (6th Nov is my wife's birthday).

Checked on Google maps that Goa is about 400 Kms from Mahabaleshwar. So, I was thinking if I can drive from Mahabaleshwar on 7th morning and reach Goa by evening and stay there till Saturday (Nov 10th). Want to start and from Goa to Hyderabad on Saturday morning itself so that we can take 1 day rest before heading back to work on Monday again.

Checked the thread of lucifer1881 and loved his trip to Goa!

Running tight on budget, so any suggestions about decent stay in Mahabaleshwar/Panchgani will be greatly helpful. In Goa, Sandpebble looks like good deal as per lucifier1881. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You might want to check on this thread http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/route-...-rates-68.html

For Panchgani, you might want to check out Mount View which is a budget place.

Or is there any homestay/resort around Bangalore for the above budget?

Changing my plans Now going to Hyderabad.
We plan for a 3 day tour to Hyderabad.
I'm looking for a nice hotel/lodge just for relaxing/resting place after we visit places/attractions in Hyderabad.
Also i would welcome the attractions i can cover during this 3 day tour starting from Nov 1st - 3rd. We would reach Hyderabad by bus and then take an auto/bus for visiting attractions.
Please suggest me places/hotels/lodges to stay with a budget of Rs.1000-1500/day.

thanks,
Ramki
