I stayed at Hotel Arpanaa - Welcome to Arpanaa Hotels

I personally recommend this for their cleanliness, modern fittings, nice rooms and service.

Location: Near Pichola Lake, behind Jagish Temple
Review: Excellent view of Pichola Lake from Roof Top Restaurant. Food rate is very high compared to Indian Standards. Hotel ambiance is very good & it is well maintained.

Thanks,

I think the price of Rs. 1850/- is for single rooms. and its 2150/- for double rooms.

Hello Pushkark,

It is Rs. 1850 for Double Room. I stayed there with my wife & 5 year daughter on 21 & 22 January 2012.

Entire property is very well maintained & rooms are very well done. The bathroom are fairly large & with good fittings.

Thanks,

Call them up. Talk to them and they should be able to help you.

I have stayed at Arunai Anandha too - but it is not very good.

Sparsha is another - but I haven't stayed here.

For 2 nights. Single occupancy. Hotel accommodation near airport (under 5kms). Less than 4K per night. Suggest please.

There is a place called Ashreya.
The place was good, but access was very scary at night.
Access road was getting done (2-3 years back). Don't know how is it today.

:: HOTEL ASHREYA - Luxury Hotel in Thiruvannamalai.

If others can update on this place, do take that feedback as well.

@Tempelhoff
Sparsha is a 5 star property. Tarriffs > 4K per night.
Arunai Anantha is an OK place. But I would take that compare to Ashreya due to its better access.

Hotel Ramakrishna, a budget and family hotel.
Car can be parked before the hotel and also inside.
Location is near the bus-stand (also in the 'giri-valam' path).
Great veg food!
Don't remember the rates, you can check them on the web.

Here is a photo I took just two months back:

Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

I have been a member of Affordable Sales Promotions Pvt. Ltd. I have selected Kodaikanal as my holiday destination in the last week of April. I have been offered Hotel Mount View for my accomodation. Here I would like to ask any of the BHPians have been to Hotel Mount View before ? Is the hotel good for family stay. We are two adults & two kids going there. Does the hotel have car park as I would be driving in my Indigo all the way from Miraj to Kodai with one halt at Tumkur.

Trichy, Rameshwaram, Madurai -With parking space for my Civic. Near the temple complex if possible, but not an overriding condition.

Munnar - A hotel with space, 4-5 kms within city, should have large enough room for our family of 2 + 2.
Madurai - Hotel Metropole near Raja Muthaiah Manram/District Court is good and has basement car parking. This is a good option if you're planning to take the Airport/Ring road to head out of Madurai towards Rameshwaram/Tirunelveli. Other options are Hotel Supreme / New college house that are in the middle of the business district (both have parking also).

Rameshwaram - Hotel Queen Palace is good, right on the NH (open parking inside their campus). From here the temple is < 3 Km and you can even take an auto/taxi ride (both available just outside the hotel).

Munnar - Clouds Valley is good. Covered Parking is available. Very close to town.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for this It would be the easiest to get in/out of the city and no need to drive much into Madurai traffic. The one we've been using is on the other side of the city (Arapalayam) and takes quite a while to reach.

Parents opted for a shorter drive only and mentioned their preferences as SriKalaHasti or Kancheepuram. So, request you help me with suggestion for stay options in either place near temple(s); only SriKalaHasti and not Tirupati please !

Also, on Bangalore->SriKalaHasti and SriKalaHasti->Tiruttani->Kancheepuram route, please let me know of any other prominent temples as well. I have heard of Aragonda and Kanipakkam and would like to know more details on the route/diversions to these place as well.

Welcome sir ! Yes, this hotel is easily accessible from the Airport ring road (from the NH7 junction at Tirumangalam) so the dense city traffic can be avoided. You can find more information about this hotel in my travelogue here
