If i remember correctly there is a Good Hotel at right side of the road while u travelling from Bangalore, may be 1 Km before the Krishnagiri Main Junction where the we take divination for Dharmapuri and Chennai. Nice parking, Big place and avg food too. And it should not be too costly also.

Hi FOlks

Am planning a trip to Pondi during 3rd week of Nov with wifey. Am looking for a decent place to stay, not too fancy, but importantly clean.

I am not too sure if beach facing hotels/resorts are a good option, are they unreasonably expensive?

Pls help

Tata Ginger is my suggestion. Really clean and well kept rooms.
Price is 1499 for a AC double room per night.

I think you have a sea view from the rooms... not 100% sure though.

Banglore stay for 1 day

Hi All,

I will be in Banglore for 1 day (this saturday) and will be coming back to Mumbai on next day (Sunday).
Can anybody suggest cheap accomodation for 1 night in and around C.V. Raman/Indira Nagar for single person.

I will be coming in search for a 1 BHK rented flat for myself.

Had stayed at Kailash Beach Resort when I had been there with family last September, rooms were very clean, the resort had excellent facilities although the food was only so-so as the buffet did not have much choice, cost me 3K for a double A/C room, no TV in the room, to watch TV one must use the lounge downstairs. This is situated on the road to Cuddalore, not in the French colony part of Pondi where there are many more choices of resorts on the ECR - Hotel Kailash Beach Resort - Home Page

If its just a place that you want to stay the night, then City Nest is a good place, its basically a club where lots of people come to play badminton/swimming etc.Rooms are very clean. No food.I think its around 500-600 per day.I used to play there when I was in Blore, you could speak to Suri(Surendra) at 28917507.

My parents are visiting Chennai for a couple of days and are looking to stay at the ttdc.
The reason for ttdc is that they are taking the ttdc tour which I think starts at the same location.

Any pointers of what to expect in terms in cleanliness/ service

Thanks ranjitp1.

Yes, I will definitely call on the number you suggested. I hope my one day stay at Banglore will be fruitful as I have only one day to search for 1 BHK flat

I always stay in Les Hibiscus. Its a small colonial residence with just 4-5 rooms, a small library etc.

Hotel Les Hibiscus, Pondicherry Hotel, Pondicherry palace, Pondicherry rest house, Pondicherry Lodges

Pondichery can be best explored on a bike and you get them on mission street (on rent).

HI Silverwood

Les Hibiscus looks nice. Would you advise that place for a 2 night stay for myself, wifey, 2 year old daughter and my parents. Also, how do you book it?

Am looking for the 3rd week of November.

Thanks

Its a very nice place, walkable distance from the beach (150 mts).I am sure your parents would love it as well.

The tariff is 2.5k for one night, but he will give you 20% generous discount if you book in advance. You could call them up at Tel: +91 413 2227480 for availability.Take the bank account no. and deposit 50% of the amount.

Please visit Anjappar and Appachi restaurants if you love n.veg food.
