welcome to queen of Deccan.
Dreamland and only dreamland. search Google.
Other option, not expensive, i prefer, MTDC resort, lot of other options though.
MTDC Mahabaleshwar, cottage, apr 2009.
btw, i will be in Mahaby in Apr/may for two days.
MTDC cottages are best economical option here.
You can book them online on their websire.
Cottages are the best with thick forest surroundings.
Hi Folks.
I need suggestions for a good, clean hotel in Mumbai/Bombay in the price range of Rs.4000 or less(per day) for a double bedroom.
This will be my first visit to Mumbai and is a casual trip and I dont know in which area to search for.

This town is an important junction on NH60 when going from NH2 towards Siliguri.
According to AK Roy the best place to stay is the Sharada Lodge. Telephone number: 03462-257111, for reservations please contact a delightful gentleman Mr. Prabir Chowdary on 09434375020.

We stayed in the Sharada Lodge in December. Siuri town is right next to NTPC's Barkeshwar Thermal Power Plant. One gets off the highway to get into the town.
Siuri is an alternative to Durgapur, Kolkatta and Malda as it falls between the three.
If one is passing that part of the world (driving to Siliguri, Darjeeling, Sikkim or the NE), I would recommend stopping in Siuri just because of the Sharada Lodge. The place is that good. It is immaculately maintained and everything is spotlessly clean.
They have a restraunt in the ground floor and the food is awesome.
Cheers,
Kannur
Stayed in Malabar Residency, opposite to Kannur Railway station.
Rates are INR1000 for non A/C room and INR1500 for A/C room. Room was clean and good.
Limited parking available. As per hotel staff, they are renting a adjacent plot for extra parking.
Food - breakfast was good. But other items were not great; spicy and not authentic taste.

I stayed in Brightland Holiday Village July, 2009, for 2 nights on an official meetiing, we were a group and got a package of 2500/ per day per peprson, double occupancy, all inclusive. It was raining plenty, the rate was good due to low season. I think around April would be season and expensive, still would be worth a try, I would consider the resort value for money, though expensive.
Some low res. photos taken with my mobile attached. The last 2 photos are form a very very old temple around there.

One suggestion would be Subba Galaxy near the airport...
A wee bit above the range you quoted.
Not stayed there but good reviews
Hotel Suba Galaxy.

Not exactly a homestay but I would recommend Jaiwana Haveli
Jaiwana Haveli, Udaipur
Spotlessly clean, well maintained.
The restaurant has amazing views but is slightly pricey
Have other friends stay there and they were very happy.
The covershot of my Udaipur album is taken from there

This little known beach at Mypadu or Mypad intrigues me and I plan to visit it this summer. Is there any accomodation or food available there? Or do I stay in Nellore?
Please suggest a good clean place with air-con, room service and safe parking.
Cheers,

Dear fellow T-Bhpians,
Am thinking of travelling from Bangalore to Munnar and am thinking to break journey somewhere around Bhavani / Mettur area.
The idea is to leave BLR say around 4 pm and halt for the night after around 4 -5 hours of driving. Any good hotels for staying in Bhavani / Mettur area ? We plan to stay there for the night and leave for Munnar early the next morning.
Pls suggest some good hotels around where a family can put up for the night. Not very expensive accomodation pls as it is only for night sleep and freshen up in the morning before leaving.
This way, we can reduce the journey strain and secondly enjoy the early morning scenery and thirdly reach Munnar sometime around 12 noon, so that we get around half day to do the local sights.
