I know hotel pankaj -opposite secratariat and stayed there many occassions but very busy area hence want to avoid this one now.
How abou Chaitram in Thampanoor(again crowded area?)?

Your suggestions please
How about Kovalam beach instead of trivandrum city just 10 KM away on road to Kanyakumari. As stated few posts back I stayed at Hotel Sri Vishakh on the turn to eve's beach in Kovalam while returning from Kanyakumari.
Stayed in AC Suite for 2100 Rs , AC room was for 1800.

Thanks for your suggestion
However feel Road to Kovalam and Kanyakumari are in different direction?
I think either Hotel Horizon or Elisa International will be ideal for me subject to
availability of sufficient car Parking facility.

I stayed at Hotel Green Park Residency close to Kannur Railway Station in Dec 09. Non AC Room for about Rs.900 and AC Room for about Rs.1100. Very clean rooms and parking place. I loved the food at their restaurant too. I would definitely recommend this place at Kannur.

Thanks guidence!
Yet to decide about the hotel .
My preference always is Hotel Pankaj (I usually get a special discount from them as I am a regular customer), but this time I prefer to stay elsewhere, free from heavy traffic movement etc, hence looking for alternatives.

Welcome to Hotel Polo Towers

This belongs to a BHPian - hard to not find a BHPian for everything, isn't it?!

Contact Evo and take the discussions about this hotel offline, else it may violate the forum rules.

Stayed in Hotel Bala in Kodai. Situated close to the Bus stand and Lake. Close to market/restaurants. Rooms are Ok in the budget range. Rate 800/- + 10% tax in off season. Double rate during season.

Parking is available inside the hotel.

Hotels in Chiplun, Aurangabad & Malvan

In Dec-09, I stayed in hotels in Chiplun, Aurangabad and Malvan. The reasons were different for different trips, hence the choice of hotel was varying.

Here are the details:

Chiplun:
Hotel Ashish Garden
Bahadur Shaikh Naka on Mumbai-Goa highway
Rate: Rs. 600 (non-AC) and Rs. 800 (AC) for a couple
Review: Dirty Hotel, Avoid at any cost

Aurangabad:
Hotel Lemon Tree (4 star)
Chikhalthana, Aurangabad
Rate: Rs. 4,000-6,000 (AC) with complementary breakfast for a couple
Review: Excellent rooms, best service, good food

Malvan:
Off Malvan-Tarkarli Road
Rate: Rs. 1,000 (non-AC) to Rs. 1,500 (AC) for a couple - (Bargaining does work)
Review: New Hotel, Right on Malvan Beach. Some rooms are really good and large to accommodate three persons comfortably, but a few rooms are extremely compact and should be avoided. Reaching hotel first time thru narrow roads is complicated and will need directions from the owner. They serve only tea/coffee and homemade breakfast.
Details on their website: Hotel Malvan Kinara, Malwan - among the Best Accommodation Hotels and Lodges in Malvan (Malwan), Maharashtra INDIA
