Hi,

Could anyone suggest to me a decent hotel in Mysore (not very pricey) to stay for a day ? My wife and I will be traveling to Mysore tomorrow.

Thanks
Saurabh

If your budget is around 1,000/- and you want to stay close to heart of the city, I would suggest you check out some hotels on Sri Harsha road. Like: Hotel Palace Plaza, Maurya Residency. But please check out the rooms before you check in, some hotels on that road aren't exactly excellent.

There is one right behind Sri Harsha road called 'Adhi Manor' which is also good. Last time my friend and his wife stayed there and they liked it - cost them 1,000/- net per day inclusive of taxes after a little bargaining.

If you can afford around 2,500/-, then you can try 'The Green Hotel' on Vinoba road (near B.M. hospital), Dasaprakash Paradise in Yadavagiri, Royal Inn on K.R.S road.

I'll PM you my number, in case you have any difficulty, you can call me. (Since Dasara has just gotten over, you may have difficulty as many hotels may be full)

Try Ginger hotels Ginger hotels

Is that part of the Dasaprakash chain in chennai ? If it is , i can assure you that their rooms are VFM & the family type. :)

Not sure about the Chennai part, John. But it is a part of the Dasaprakash group. And I agree with you about the rest. :)

Yes, same Dasprakash group. Don't know about rooms , food was pretty good.

Maurya place on Sri harsha road would be a best bet.

Decent Two bedded rooms (Non a/c) is around 700.A Decent room with TV connection and great food, especially it is very near to the Main Terminus also.Even that room had 24 hour hor water supply,TV and a calm environment.

The green hotel (old deccan studios) is a decent place.. have a eco market on sunday mornings.. Nice outdoor dining in the garden..

Vinoba road is also commonly referred to as Hunsur road. Anyone would show you the way in Mysore if you ask for 'Premier Studio'.

I've PMed you my number. You can call me if you need directions (I'm in Mysore now).

Stayed there for a day about a month and half ago... its not that great is all I'd say. Maintenance is pretty bad.

Guys, need more options (budget hotels) with parking facilities.

Any recent visitors ??

Visited couple of weeks back.
Stayed at Dashprakash (old one, they have two hotels in mysore).
This is near the palace. Lot of parking space in the central courtyard. Decent restaurant at the ground floor. Not very luxurious/hi-fi rooms/place. Decent one. It was 950/- per day for an A/C room.

Regards
Rex

Couple of weeks back, stayed at Hotel Siddhartha.

Pretty decent Rooms, ample parking space, room charges: Rs.960/- per day.
