Sick and tired of these changing rules and 'restrictions' and 'certificates' which serve no useful purpose whatsoever. The pandemic has turned into an endemic, what are these people trying to filter out ? The virus has already spread to wherever it wants to. All these committees and people in positions of power want to 'be seen doing something' to control the virus, rather than actually analyze whether the ideas coming up in their brilliant minds can actually achieve their objective. How does it make sense, when people travelling by trains and people driving commercial vehicles are given an unchecked entry/exit , whilst barricading away only people with pvt vehicles ? They are trying to show the media that an already cracked dam can be fixed by applying M-Seal.

Live life the way you want while navigating through the imperfect non-linearities of the ground realities in life. The virus will remain here as long as it wants to by its own chosen measures (and even mutate to strengthen itself in the years to come). The virus is in control - whether we like it or not.

All global governments have failed - miserably. We don't need a government, whether they are good or bad. That's what Covid-19 has taught us.

If anyone crossed over Attibelle check post towards Bangalore during day time, in the recent days, please share your experience.

I drove in from Chennai yesterday morning. Crossed Attibele at 11:00AM. No checking of any kind.

Note : I have a KA registered car.

Travelled back to Chennai from Kerala on 26th. Crossed Walayar around 11am in the morning. Car was redirected to the service road after entering TN side. Had TN eregistration pass ready but the police officer was keen to check on RTPCR. We did not have it and hence he asked us to show vaccination certificate (2 dose). He randomly checked 1 certificate and let us proceed. TN epass portal also clearly says that any one (RTPCR or vaccination certificate) is sufficient.

I crossed yesterday evening (around 5:30 PM). They had stopped one KL and one MH car for checking. It looked like random checking than stopping every KL/MH cars. One KL registered car which was on the right most lane was not stopped.

What about kids? If the adults are fully vaccinated and accompanied by a kid, is the RT-PCR being checked for the kid? Both sides, while going in to Kerala, and while coming out.

Entry to Kerala requires either full vaccination certificate or negative RT-PCR report. Entry to Karnataka or Maharashtra from Kerala requires a negative RT-PCR report. Kids are not eligible for vaccination at the moment, so negative RT-PCR report is required. Even for adults, I feel it is better to carry a negative RT-PCR report since rules are changing suddenly in local areas / districts.

And what good is the 'Aarogya Setu' App.

Do we really need to install it? Is that being checked by the authorities?

I have not seen it being checked anywhere (except in some shopping malls in Bangalore last year) ...

Passengers from Kerala turned away at inter-State checkposts in Coimbatore.

Quote:

With Kerala logging a whopping 31,445 new COVID-19 infections in a day on Wednesday, following Onam holidays, authorities in Coimbatore on Thursday sent back people who came from the neighbouring State without a COVID-19 negative report or the final vaccination certificate.

The checking was intensified at Walayar, the busiest inter-State checkpost in the district, from Thursday morning.

A joint team of the police, Health and Revenue Departments checked private vehicles from Kerala and allowed passengers into Coimbatore only if they produced proof of having taken both doses of any COVID-19 vaccinate, or a COVID negative report (RT-PCR) taken within 72 hours prior to the journey.

My friend traveled from Kochi to Bangalore today morning. They started from Kochi @ 5:30AM and reached Bangalore @ 2:30PM.

I am planning to travel next week. Let's see how that goes. Will be carrying all the required documents (including RT-PCR).

We also traveled from near Kochi to Bangalore yesterday (27 August). Started from home at around 4:30 PM and reached our Bangalore home at around 1 AM.There are barricades at all inter-district borders in TN but nobody seemed to be manning them.

Btw, there seems to be a new government notification that states must refrain from insisting on travelers carrying RT-PCR reports. Instead, they must implement adequate protocols so that travelers considered risky are quarantined at destination for the appropriate time.

This is that circular: https://www.mohfw.gov.in/pdf/Guideli...tatetravel.pdf. But the last section of this circular still leaves everything arbitrary and vague.

Traveled back to Bangalore on 28th Saturday. at Walayar they checked the TN ePass (I had it pasted on windshield). apart from that, there was no checks anywhere else including at Atibelle.
