Hi All!

I am relatively new to Noida and in the past, whenever I have had to go to Gurgaon for personal commitments, I have taken DND, AIIMS, Dhaula Kuan, and then entered Gurgaon. No problems other than the usual traffic around AIIMS and the under construction stretch near IGI.

However, there are traffic restrictions in Delhi for the next few days because of G20 and I want to avoid entering Delhi for this reason.

I need to travel to Gurgaon tomorrow (3rd September, 2023) and it being a Sunday am in the mood for a longish drive.

My query is, is there a route to get to Gurgaon from Noida via the Yamuna Expressway and thereon? I don't mind if it takes me 2 hours or thereabouts as long as it is not while waiting, stuck in traffic.

As per Google Maps, there seems to be a route from YEW, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, WPE and thereon but there is no clarity if this actually is operational and where exactly are the interchanges to get from one expressway to the other and thereon.

Can someone who has actually done this route please help me?

I plan to leave by 12 noon on Sunday, 3rd September, 2023.

KMP expressway to the rescue. That’s the only way to get from Noida to Gurgaon without entering Delhi. It is going to be a much longer journey, but there is no other alternative. Once the bridge on Yamuna for direct Faridabad-Greater Noida connection gets complete (it’s been going on and on and on for years now), a new axis completely bypassing Delhi will open up.

KMP is fully operational. There is no interchange between KMP and Yamuna Expressway. There are multiple other entry points to KMP, depending on where exactly you are in Noida or Greater Noida.

I did this route from Gurgaon(Sohna) to Greater Noida Expo at the time of Auto Expo. Yes it will take longer time but the route is all good. Almost all of that is a expressway. So dont worry and go ahead. You would enter gurgaon from Sohna side.

KMP works well.

For a shorter route, you may want to use Okhla/Kalindi Kunj barrage - Faridabad (via Mathura Road) - then take Faridabad-Gurgaon road (using Sector 21C/Industrial Area exit). Being Sunday, it should be a good drive.

Continue via your usual route inside Delhi (unless you have got a new car and the itch to drive on a highway) There are no restrictions on ring road.

For those who may be interested and for the love of driving, this route works:

Pari Chowk - take a right - Noida Bulanshar Road - EPE - WPE - Mumbai-Delhi Expressway - Gurgaon.

About 125 kms from Sector 104, Noida. 2 hours of driving time one way.

Sector 104 to Gurgaon, 50 odd kms takes me about 1 hour 30 to 2 when I go via Delhi.

Zero or almost negligible traffic from door to door compared to un-predictable traffic when I go via Delhi.

Will I do it again? For sure.

Just one gripe. The EPE and WPE need urgent maintenance. There are too many stretches of uneven roads which leave a sour taste. Hope this is addressed soon.
