We plan to take a road trip to Kanha National Park from Ahmedabad. This place can be reached from both Jabalpur and Nagar with the right quality road.

Which road is better?
A. Indore -> Jabalpur (Longer Distance by
B. Indore -> Nagpur

As per the GMap, Indore -> Jabalpur is,


and Indore -> Nagpur is,


For any option, do I need to change from Gmap's suggested route? Please advise.

Amadavad-Godhra-Dahod-Jhabua-Indore-Bhopal-Betul-Nagpur would give better roads.

Bhopal-Betul work is still going on, but way better than Indore-Betul routes.

I have done Nagpur - Bhopal - Indore and back a few month ago. The road is generally good and the preferred route, I'd say.

The only problem will be around the area of Hoshangabad, where you'll find hundreds of cattle on the road. Other than that, it should be smooth sailing.

Do pack a lot of food, because the stretch between Bhopal and Nagpur doesn't a lot of good eateries.

Your opinion is helpful; I am more inclined to Bhopal-Betul rather, Indore-Betul.

The questions I now changed from Indore-Nagpur vs Indore-Jabalpur is now changed to Bhopal-Nagpur vs Bhopal-Jabalpur.

Here are more thoughts after spending more time online,
- As per Google Maps, Bhopal-Nagpur is shorter but takes a longer time.
- Checked a few months-old YouTube videos and learn that both have some rough patches. Nice to have some first-hand experience in recent times.
