Hello BHPians,

I am sure that many of you prefer renting a self-drive car during your travels (after all a love for driving unites us) instead of hiring a taxi. In the past few years, many service providers have risen in India and we have even been discussing our experiences on this thread

I am starting this thread to poll for the Best Self Drive car rental service in India, based on BHPian's experiences.

I would request participants to vote for the best Self Drive car rental service in India, which they've experienced as a driver/primary renter.

Some criteria which may be used to judge are as follows:

1. App/website experience
2. Car delivery/pickup experience
3. Availability & variety of cars
4. Quality of delivered cars - reliability, visual condition, features (base model or loaded
5. General service experience
6. Grievance resolution
7. Coverage & flexibility - availability in smaller cities, ability to rent for one-way trips with different pickup and drop

While the major polling options are restricted to agencies/service providers with a pan-India (or at least metro cities) presence, if your best experience has been with a city-specific or smaller agency/service provider please do feel free to vote 'Others' and mention details in comment/reply.

I don't really know if this is the right forum to post this in, but I wanted to know if any bhp-ians have had any experience with renting from zoomcar in Pune, would love some feedback as I'm planning a trip in May.

In Pune, book Revv. Zoom will give you unclean and old cars. I have booked Revv several times in Pune, and have found their services and cars to be excellent. Above my expectations at all times.

So I am planning a trip to Vizag in December with family , and I want to visit Araku Valley for a couple of days. I am planning to rent a self drive car for visiting Araku. Is it a good idea to self drive to Araku? Is there any reliable car rental where I can get a car (and not be scammed)?
