Hi, I am travelling from Bangalore to Allahabad next week. Travelling with family (1 kid). All adults are fully vaccinated! Need help with route, places to fuel, eat, stop for nature call, general road conditions, speed checks and any state border checks that I need to be aware of. The planned route is Bangalore - Hyderabad - Nagpur - Seoni - Jabalpur - Rewa - Allahabad.

Day 1 - Bangalore(Hebbal) to Nagpur Outskirts (after by-passing Nagpur city). Planning to leave around 3am(i know BLR-Hyd route well and travelled a few times but if there is any new update in last 1.5 years then please share).
Day 2 - Nagpur - Seoni - Jabalpur - Rewa - Allahabad (never travelled this route). Planning to leave around 5.30am.

I am ok to drive 12-15 hours a day.

If you know latest status of any part of this journey then share the details. If you think there is any issue in the itinerary then please provide suggestions. In some forums i had read to avoid the Nagpur - Seoni - Jabalpur - Rewa - Allahabad route and do Jhansi-Orai-Kanpur-Allahabad. I dont know the rationale behind it.

Hi all anyone can suggest route to take for Hyd-Prayagraj. Looking for route and place to rest in between.

Two months ago, I took this route (I was driving in the opposite direction): Allahabad - Jabalpur - Nagpur - Hyderabad. Usual highway, no major bottlenecks, but look out for cattle in Maharashtra, MP, and UP.

Between Hyderabad and Nagpur, we didn't see any food stops that we liked, (your mileage may differ ) but all throughout Telangana and Andhra, there were well-marked bio-break stops that are more or less clean.

Throughout MP, you'll get well-marked Motel Center Point, which are good stops for food and biobreaks. These are all MP Tourism properties. There's also a Cube Stop at Mohgaon, MP.

From the MP border, Allahabad is just about an hour away It's my hometown.

Just a note: This is the time for heavy fogs in the north. Please plan accordingly.

Totally! It's almost midway between Hyderabad and Allahabad. Has several stay options: there's a Ginger (which was fully booked when we travelled, so we stayed in Hotel Pride). Other options are Le Meridien and Regenta Central, but I don't have first-hand experience of these places.

If you need an option between Nagpur and Allahabad, I would suggest Jabalpur.

Nagpur will be ideal and Le Meridian is a good stop as it is on the highway. You need to take a U turn to Service Road and drive 100 mtrs in. Rates are not too high either and decent breakfast as well. Rooms are large and ample parking. It is a large property so rarely overbooked and hence chances of walking in and getting rooms is good. You can also call and book on phone ahead.

You can leave early morning and you hit the highway using the bypass so no issue of traffic either. They will be happy to pack breakfast for you in case you want to leave very early morning before the restaurant opens. Just let them know the night before.

We have used this many times on our way from Bangalore to up north and back.
