Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Drove down from Kolkata to Chennai.
No checking of any sorts anywhere, be it WB, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu.
Usually there's a cursory check / casual enquiry by cops manning the Icchapuram,(Orissa-AP), border crossing. But this time that also was not there.
I had taken TN Entry ePass by registering on TN website, but there was no checking at TN-AP border point.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions - Orissa

Does anyone know the requirements for entering Orissa via flight from Bangalore.
There is hopelessly outdated and contradictory information on various sites and it is difficult to know the current and exact requirement.
Help will be appreciated

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

I drove from Lucknow to Kannur (Cannanore) in Kerala and back in February, about 2420 kms in one direction. The only place I was stopped while doing Lucknow - Cannanore was a few kms before Jhansi, that too to check if I was carrying any excess cash (an election related check). There was no other checking anywhere else. In the Karnataka - Kerala border check-posts at Makkut and Vallithode, some policemen were just watching me as I drove ahead slowly. That is all. While returning, I was required to show RT-PCR report there at Makkut which I did. No other checking anywhere else.

Wish you luck. Though there are fellow BHP-ians who will give you accurate response, I think covid related restrictions are a thing of the past, thankfully. Regards. Rajiv Agrawal

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Does any state require RT-PCR report for entry (by road) now?

Absolutely nothing w.r.t Covid related. Think of it as pre Covid era.

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Hi All, I would be flying to Goa from Bangalore on 22nd May. All the adults are double dose vaccinated but my 7 year old son will be accompanying us.
1) Does he need a RTPCR test before flying?
2) How stringent is the check at KIAL?
Please advise, Thank you

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Planning to drive to and fro TN via Hosur road/Attibele during the weekend of Aug 15 from Bangalore. Are there any restrictions or checks going on at the border on the KA or TN side ? Is the E-pass system still in place ?

No e-pass requirement in both directions.

Haha - this thread is actually not an "applicable thread" now. People have almost forgotten covid itself. Then where comes the covid restrictions and e-pass and everything. Everything is "normal", and very little people wear masks and follow CAB.

BTW What is covid?
