As per google search, nothing is necessary.
I have an upcoming trip to Pondy in a weeks time.
I drove to Pondicherry last Thursday and returned to Bangalore last Friday. There was no checking in any of the state borders!

I just completed the Bangalore -> Munnar trip via Hosur -> Dindigul -> Theni and no Covid related checks in either direction.
However I had registered in the above portal for Kerala entry and also in the Tamilnadu e-pass registration for Karnataka to Tamilnadu entry.

Testing at Kerala Karnataka Attibele Border

Hi All,

wanted to check if anybody has travelled back from Kochi after the onset on OMicron set in? I have travelled 4-5 times in the last year and every time there was no check for RTPCR on returning to Bangalore at Attibele.

I am travelling back again at the end of the month but will be in Kerala only for 2 days and the rule for Karnataka says a test to be done 72 hours prior so wanted to know if anybody has come back recently and if they have any information on whether they are checking the border or not.

Also since I am there only for 2 days should i still take an RTPCR

All of us have taken both doses of the vaccination.

Did any one cross the border to TN today? any checks at the borders?

Since TN started airport checks and quarantine mandatory, I am expecting they would close their borders soon. I would be crossing the border in a few hours.

Re: Testing at Kerala Karnataka Attibele Border

My neighbour came back from Cochin just today evening and per him, absolutely no checks anywhere.

That said, I’m not sure if that is the norm, given the focus on people entering from KL and MH.

Members, those of you kindly reporting back here with "yes, checking" or "no checking" please also mention the registration plate that you were driving - KA/TN/KL/AP etc.

Thanks JK.

What about the RTPCR since I am going only for 2 days to bring my Father in law back. The rule for KAR says 72 hours prior RTPCR to be taken. Do I or do I not take a test.

RTPCR farce continues !! Flew Indigo from Mumbai to Bangalore last night. RTPCR report was neither checked at Mumbai airport ( Terminal 1 ) , nor during boarding and most shocking of all, not even at Bangalore airport on landing. Sense prevailed much during Plague pandemic I guess. To hell with this Covid

I crossed KA-TN border this morning, there was no checking. Mine is a KA registered car.

Did you take an e-pass? Is that rule still there?

I know checking at the borders is lax, but if the rule exists, I think it is safer to take one.

Also, anyone, what about any requirements in either direction for KA/AP/TN (in case I want to do the Chittoor route instead of Krishnagiri)?

Cheers

I didn't take any e-pass and as far as I know there is no such guidelines. Even if they ask, you can register it on the spot(https://eregister.tnega.org/).

Any luck with getting clarity on this? Since you are travelling from Pune, are you required to obtain an RTPCR negative test even after full vaccination?

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Got this message from Indigo yesterday about my upcoming flight from Bangalore to Kochi.

Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions-indigo.jpg

Is this a standard message that they are sending or are there any actual rule changes on arrival in Kerala?

All adults in our group are vaccinated but for kids will RTPCR be mandatory?

Re: Interstate travel with the Covid-19 restrictions

Just to update:
We did Bangalore to Kerala via TN last Friday 17th December 2021, by car. Applied for KL entry pass on Covid Jagratha portal. And applied for TN pass (no transit pass available, only entry to TN, exit from TN options available). Observed that KL pass can be applied in advance, however TN epass can be applied for the same date only. TN entry / exit was via Hosur / Walayar.

No one bothered to stop or check the pass during the entire journey. KA registered car.

regards,
narayanang76
