Hi, sounds interesting and I've been wanting to do this for a long time. Coinciding time and holidays are a big problem, what with kids' exams, schools etc. Basically it all boils down to when Ganpati summons me. Then everything falls in place.

BTW, I do make it a point and try to go to Titwala, whenever I come to Mumbai.

If there are ppl interested, we can make it convoy!!!!!--Ramky

Yes, I agree fully on the CALL>

Taking time off, synchronizing our domestic schedules with others etc., will all take a lot of planning and .......... luck.

Hope we can pull this off.....

i have written this rout for pune based people.

if one is planning to do this tour from ahmedabad to ahmedabad,
it can be done in 72 hours!!
tour with friends and without family and kids.
take following route.
day1
a'bad-mumbai-panwel. right turn towards goa on nh17. at nagothane, take left turn towards pali. pali - mahad-pune as i recommended earlier. halt at pune.
day2.
follow route as i recommended edited route pune-theur-morgaon-sidhdhatek-ranjangaon-bhimashankar. halt at bhimashankar.
day3
follow edited route bhimashankar-ghodegaon-junnar-ozar-lenydri.
from junnar, you take road to the village otur. this is ghat section. at otur , take left turn to malshej ghat-murbad-shahpur-vada-manor. at manor , you will be on mumbai ahmedabad highway. night journey will occure.
i will not recommend lenyadri narayangaon nasik saputara ahmedabad route because night journey on this road is to be avoided.

with family and kids, i will recommend 4 day tour.
route will be.
upto lenydri, route will same.
from lenyadri, drive towards narayangaon, take nh50 towards nasik. halt at nasik. if time permits and probably you will get some time, go to trimbkeshwar[ one of 12 jyotirlings]. do visit temples in nasik.day 3 ends.
day4
drive towards ahmadabad from nasik in day time.

Ashish,

Your information is getting more and more exciting, Bhimashanker itself is a great attraction, never know this could also be covered in this circuit. You have just nudged me closer to doing this trip soon.

The germinating plan in the back of the mind has woken up now..... I think I NEED to do this trip.. waiting for break of 5 days.

Thx,

--Ramky

don't know where the parihar chowk is?
you drive toward shivajinagar sancheti hospital.
after crossing railway overbridge, turn left immediately and you will be on mumbai road. travel toward mumbai crossing wakdewadi, khadki, bopodi, dapodi, phugewadi, kasarwadi. at kasarwadi, at nasikphata, turn right toward nasik. now its strait road. you are on nh50. continue on nh50 crossing bhosari, chakan, rajgurunagar [khed], manchar, narayangaon.
at narayangaon, turn left toward ozar. ask for direction. at ozar, ask for direction to junnar. junnar is @ 15km from this place. junnar to lenyadri is 5km. ask for direction.

i will suggest you to club bhimashankar and shivneri fort in this tour. halt at bhimashankar.

From Parihar Chowk, I would need to go on Aundh Road & then cross
the Khakdi railway tracks & get to this road.

Hi Ashish,

The route that you have shown for ashtvinayak is very crisp and to the point. I am thinking of going on this trip as my parents are very much interested in this, but the challenge for me would be,

I need the actual religious trip route and that too from Mumbai. Can you help me with this. The route should be the one we need to follow for the religious trip. I don't mind completing this trip in 3 days time. Kindly suggest.

Regards,
Kailash

Pls advice on the Ashtavinayak route, from Aurangabad

Hi,

Pls send in your opinoins on the following Ashtavinayak route from Aurangabad:

- Aurangabad - Ahmednagar - Ranjangaon
- Kashti - Daund - Siddhatek
- back to Daund - Morgaon
- Theur
- via Pune - Madh
- Pali
- return to Madh - Karjat - Neral - Murbad - Lenyadri
- Ozar
- a) return via Ale Phata to Ahmednagar to Aurangabad OR b) Ozar to Narayangaon to Kopergaon to Aurangabad

1) Approx KM for the above route
2) Decent place to refresh, eat, rest & halt during night (with facilities & cost). I have searched the "bed-n-breakfast" on MTDC site. Are they worth?
3) I can spare 1 more day to go to Alibag. How can I incorporate within the above trip?

I know Ashish (Pallod) will definitely contribute to this thread!! Ashish, I really want your help.
