Nothing anywhere. And as per the toll staff, no foreseeable plans either to implement.

Re: The Yamuna Expressway!

Speed limit on Yamuna expressway reduced till Feb 15 due to fog.

Quote:
On Monday, the first fog of the winter season occurred, causing several accidents on the Yamuna Expressway and the Peripheral Expressway in Greater Noida. Two people lost their lives and more than 20 people were injured. About 50 vehicles rammed into each other in separate multi-vehicle pile-ups due to the fog.

Keeping this in mind, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has taken a major decision. An order has been issued to reduce the speed limit of Yamuna Expressway due to fog in winter.

The maximum speed limit for vehicles on the expressway will be reduced from December 15 and the limits will stay in place till February 15, 2021. Keeping in view the fog, the speed of small vehicles has been reduced by 20 per cent and that of heavy vehicles by 25 per cent.

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr Arunveer Singh gave the information on Tuesday and has issued detailed guidelines for this on Tuesday. According to him, from December 15, the maximum speed limit of vehicles on Yamuna Expressway will be reduced from 100 kilometres per hour to 80 kilometres per hour. The maximum speed limit for heavy vehicles is currently 80 kilometres per hour. It will be reduced to 60 kilometres per hour.

I have been using fast tags in the orange lanes for 2.5 years now and coincidentally was on the Eway last week. When you open a fastag account and link a wallet like Paytm; an amount of 150 is blocked in the fastag linked wallet.

As per my conversation with the toll operator; it is applicable only when fog is present but am not sure how the cops would respond to a speed trap over 75 kmph. However between tolls I averaged 100 kmph and was not fined.

Authorities of Yamuna Expressway have made it mandatory to install an app before they can travel on the expressway. The officials have made the ‘Highway Saathi’ app mandatory for the travellers to use the Yamuna Expressway anywhere between Greater Noida and Agra

No sir.
We don't believe in spreading awareness of proper traffic manners. Or something basic like a temporary drive to check the tyre conditions or tyre pressure of vehicles using the road.

An app will do just fine.
Just fine.

Android app called Highway Saathi mandatory for travel on Yamuna Expressway

An android app called "Highway Saathi" is now mandatory for travel on Yamuna Expressway. The app is only for android devices and has been made mandatory for "security reasons".

According to the news source - "Highway Saathi is an android driver solutions app that is specifically designed to provide information regarding highway accidents, traffic jams, and weather reports. The app allows users to pay toll taxes digitally through card payments and e-wallets like Paytm, Mobikwik, GPay, Airtel Money, etc"

The app is NOT available on the google play store yet and is not available for other OS devices.

What I do not understand is that how will an app stop accidents? An app can not stop a person who has decided to speed. This is a useless idea.

Re: The Yamuna Expressway!

Can anyone confirm if this is actually true? There have been so many deadlines and misses.

Fastag

Quote:
The installation of the FASTag along the Yamuna Expressway is being implemented from today (June 15). The much anticipated implementation of the FASTag along the Yamuna Expressway is expected to reduce a lot of hassle for commuters from both sides of the electronic toll collection system.
